Charlotte Adventure
Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte University PlaceI came into town for a weekend event and I am grateful to BringFido for helping me find a big dog friendly hotel just 8 minutes from the event. The hotel has ample dog walking space around the parking lot and also one level up (through the bushes). We parked on the backside where there is a door next to the outdoor pool area and took that elevator (right across from the indoor pool entrance, thus able to avoid all dogs and people. Nice breakfast buffet. We especially enjoyed our hikes on the back side of freedom park and the Japanese Garden at the University.
Great Big Dog Getaway with a Scenic View.
Residence Inn by Marriott Ocean CitySo nice to find a hotel that accommodates big dogs. Off season and with my hotel rate I was charged a dog fee of $75 (normally $150). On travel we don't like to interact with other people and pets and I found it convenient to take the staircase on the side of the building. When I needed to take the elevator we'd walk up the staircase leading to the lobby and get on the elevator lobby level. This gave us space to wait for our own elevator. Convenient dog walk areas. The beach is close but sometimes we'd drive as otherwise we'd have to walk to the next cross street. In fall 2020 I found COVID precautions in place. Convenient kitchen and full sized fridge. Clean and quiet room and we quickly settled in and enjoyed a lovely stay. Loved our mornings and evenings on the balcony.
