Doggie heaven
The Original Dog BeachIris thought she was in heaven. Most dogs obedient and well-behaved. There's always that one owner who is on their phone and not paying attention (eye roll) but other than that - everyone seemed to know it was a dog beach and yes, if you set up camp for the day expect some pooches to give you some smooches!
Nice afternoon :)
Belle Marie WineryHad a great afternoon. Wasn't too crowded and our pup was welcomed in the tasting room (maybe because it wasn't busy?). We enjoyed our wine outside and played some corn hole.Even have poo bags for the dogs in case you forget!
Great view and dog friendly
Dini's by the SeaHad a great lunch with an ocean view. Accommodating patio and great food and drink! We will go back!
Super Pet Friendly
West Inn & SuitesThey rock!!! They helped us out of a motel mess last minute and we are so glad we spent the extra money to stay here. They are very welcoming to the dogs and have a small dog run on site, more than most hotels. Took my dog for a 3 mile run by the beach (beach does not allow dogs) and completely felt safe. Milk and cookies each night are an added bonus. Spend the extra money - so worth it!
Super pet friendly
BagbyGreat food and drink! Super pet friendly to our pup who needed some warm water to defrost her food and also brought out water right away for her to drink. Beer was excellent and so was service. Very nice!
Not a good location
Ramada by Wyndham OceansideMay be clean and dog friendly but definitely not in a location that I would feel safe while walking my dog. Some sketchy incidences happening in the parking lot as we drove up. Had been in car over 4 hours and needed to use restroom and there is not a restroom in the lobby! Nor did they give me any suggestions of another restroom. We cancelled and luckily found another hotel - more expensive but much better and they did try and give us a deal since they knew we were stuck.
Wonderful Tour
Explore Savannah ToursWe got very lucky with our dog, Iris, and our small group (my husband and I and my parents) was the only signed up for the tour (12/26/2018). Rose was an amazing tour guide/story teller. Iris is trained and was well-behaved for most of it but she got a little cold and whiny towards the end. It was easy for just one dog - not sure what it would have been like with two or more dogs in the group. Always need to be considerate that not all dogs will get along. However, we had a great time and did a lot of walking and learning about the history of Savannah. Will definitely do another tour with them.
