Decent Place in Oakley
Sleep Inn & Suites Oakley I-70Relatively new. Walls seemed a little thin, exterior doors a bit loud. Overall, nice and clean. Front desk clerk wasn't very happy to be at work. Decent grassy area on the side for your pup, though they will prefer the lush, off-limits grass in front of the hotel. Oakley Dog Park, just large enough for some pre-drive fetch, is about a 5 minute drive away. Note that the entire area smells quite unpleasant. Fortunately, didn't smell in our room or anywhere inside the hotel.

Terrible
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Sidney NERoom was not very clean. Exterior doors did not lock properly. Hotel's internet was down at check-in, so had to make a photocopy of my ID and credit card. Still was not working the next morning, so was told to "watch my credit card statement" for a final charge. This place is going through a transition from a Radisson property to Choice Hotels. The process doesn't seem to be going well. Avoid!!

Disappointing
Comfort Suites Downtown CarlisleHotel felt pretty run down. My room was small and dingy. The HVAC unit was very loud and inefficient. It started rattling badly in the middle of the night, making it very difficult to sleep. Even when it was off, I was kept awake by a loud dripping from the unit upstairs. Hallway noise was pretty bad. When the people staying in the room directly across the hall came/went, it sounded like someone was right at our door. This bothered my pup, who would bark. The paper-thin walls did little to insulate any noise, and I was constantly worried about annoying other guests. Several problems with keycards. I had to go down to the desk three times for new keys, and eventually get assigned a different room, after checking in.
On the plus side, the staff was friendly.
