Drury Inns are fantastic!
Drury Inn & Suites GreenvilleWe stayed here twice this trip, and we were knocked out by the quality of everything we encountered: the rooms, the common areas, the 5:30 p.m. cocktail hour with three free drinks and plenty of nibbles and the hot breakfasts included in the room price; the staff friendliness and last but not least, plenty of areas to walk the dogs. This chain is now high on our list for future stays.
Generally good
La Quinta by Wyndham Raleigh CrabtreeThis La Quinta is a good one. The hotel and its rooms are spacious and clean with the expected amenities. The room is well-designed and the bathroom is bigger than in most hotels.
Only two things keep this from a higher rating from us. One is the long distance from the lobby to the (small) elevator, which is an issue for a couple of seniors with a loaded baggage cart. Next time we would specify being on a ground floor and not too far from the lobby.
The second issue is the surprising lack of green space for dogs. The hotel is very pet friendly, with no pet fee charged. But we didn't find much in the way of grass for them in our walks.
