Melissa Kendall founded BringFido.com after being unable to book a pet friendly hotel online to attend a friend's wedding on Cape Cod with her dog Rocco. After calling several hotels that were said to be "pet friendly" on one of her favorite travel sites (at the time), and finding that none of them actually allowed pets, Melissa decided to create a site that focused solely on pet travel and made it easy for pet owners to find accurate information on hotel pet policies. Right after returning from the wedding, she got to work, and several months later BringFido.com was born.
In addition to her role at BringFido.com, Melissa is also the founder and president of MonkeyBargains.com, a profitable online directory that helps shoppers find coupons, discounts and special offers available at more than 2500 online stores (including Target, Gap, Payless, Overstock, and Best Buy). Earlier in her career, Melissa was a Director of Marketing at About.com, where she led new member acquisition for the Shopping and Sweepstakes channels. Melissa started her career in Advertising Technology at Lycos.com. She holds a B.S. in Management Science from MIT and resides in West Palm Beach, Florida when she's not busy checking out pet friendly hotels across the country with Rocco.
