AirTran Airways's Pet Travel Policy
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulates air transportation of pets and all airlines are required by law to follow the guidelines outlined on our Air Travel Regulations for Pets page. Individual airlines may impose further restrictions or fees for flying with your pet. AirTran Airways's pet policy is described below.

Pets in the Cabin:
AirTran accepts small, domesticated pets that will fit in an approved carrier under the seat. The pet carrier can be no larger than 10"H x 11"L x 20"W and the combined weight of the pet plus carrier cannot exceed 40 pounds. Airfare for a pet is $65 one-way.
Pets Checked with Baggage:
AirTran does not transport pets in the baggage compartment.
