    Dangerously Irresponsible Dog Owners Everywhere

I know this is not the fault of the dog park itself, but it is the reality of what goes on there and people should be aware before they decide to go. I brought my dog to play in the large dog enclosure, and this woman comes in with four huge dogs off leash. One was easily a 100+ lb cane corso that looked like she adopted it straight from [edited] gates. They all immediately ran to my dog and surrounded her to sniff her. Naturally, my dog got nervous and as soon as the cane corso sensed this, he attacked and the other three followed suit. I had to fight four massive dogs off of my dog as we scrambled for the exit, all the while this absolute moron of a dog owner was doing nothing but saying "wow your dog is really scared!". She made absolutely no attempt to help me get her stupid beasts off of my dog and proceeded to tell her son that they did nothing wrong because my dog instigated it by being scared. She took zero accountability for her dogs' poor behavior and ruined my dog's day at the park. She even tried to reassure me by saying that she takes them there everyday, which is even more reason to never take your dogs here. There are many such idiots that come to this park, so be very careful. If this was you, don't ever bring your dogs to another public park ever again. You are clearly not responsible enough to manage four untrained dogs.

Besides this nightmare, there is very little shade and the dog poop bag dispensers are always empty, so if you forget your poop bags, you're SOL. This is probably why there is always so much poop there. The only good thing is that there is a decent amount of space for your dogs to run around and a water fountain low enough for your dog, which pretty much every dog park has.

It's nice but please be aware!

Owners of little dogs who take their pets to the Torrey Pines Dog Park in Murrieta, please be careful of big dogs who can fit under the fence line from the large dog side. This evening, two huskies squeezed under the fence, came into the small dog side and attacked a very small dog. The attack was vicious and ongoing. It took three adults to block the huskies from further attacking the little dog and they still tried to get past us to continue their attack. The owner of the huskies was not watching her dogs and it took her quite some time to come retrieve her dogs. She claimed the fence was open, but it wasn’t as she was unable to get through it to get to her dogs, at least not until she undid the chain. I am not calling this person out as I will deal directly with AFV to find out what to do. I just wanted people who use this facility to be aware. The owner of the huskies refused to provide information on her dogs in order for the incident to be reported to AFV.

    Feces everywhere

I have found so many things wrong when I've come to this park that I refuse to go again. Feces EVERYWHERE, especially in the large dog area. on their phones. I have witnessed three separate dog fights, one very serous and each time the owner was on their phone giving no attention to what their dog was doing. How about the family that took their kids inside, put a blanket down with their lunch to have a picnic and then screamed bloody murder when most dogs came and went after the food. No thanks, other than the filth at the Escondido dog park this is my least favorite dog park. Oh, and if it is summer steer clear of this park unless it's dawn or the sun is going down because the ground is VERY hot and there is very little shade. Definitely not planned for an area that is more apt to be 100+ degrees throughout the summer.

    Oh no…disgusting!

Though this dog park has two separate areas for large and small dogs that was the ONLY thing going for it. It is simply FILTHY!!! Feces everywhere…what is wrong with people???? And no grass at all so as soon as your dog gets a drink, he is full of mud. I'm so sad because I am a new resident of Murrieta and live only 5 minutes from this park, but will be going elsewhere to find an appropriate place for my pup to play. Very unhealthy for dogs and with just a couple of picnic tables and no awnings…unhealthy for humans during the summer heat for sure. You are making the right decision about avoiding this place.

Do not go to this park

I took my dog for the very first time and didn't really like it. I like the Temecula dog park off Redhawk to be a superior dog park.

WORST PARK I'VE EVER BEEN TO

I feel awful for ever bringing my dogs to this park. Being new to Murrieta, I decided to take my two dogs to this park. It was the worst idea ever. Not being there for 5 minutes, I saw there was blood all over my dogs paws from the ground. Its dirt and gravel everywhere that cut up my dogs paws so badly that I had to actually take them to a vet because the dirt/gravel cut just about in half. My other dogs' nails were bleeding at the base of her paw.

The park is also covered in dog feces from people not cleaning up after their dogs.

If I could give a zero I would. DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK!

    Nice & Spacious Park

I found this dog park just the other day & am so glad I did! There hasn't been anyplace close to take my boys, which has been frustrating to say the least. The closest prior to this place was in Temecula on Margarita. I live near French Valley Airport. I don't know when this place opened, but it's definitely my go-to for four-legged entertainment & exercise. I rated it a 4 only because there's no shade, which is going to be a huge down side come summer. Otherwise, it's great! Very spacious with lots of room to run. :)

    Great Day!

I went to this park yesterday! It is very clean and very nice. The people and the dogs were very well behaved! :) As it gets hotter and EZ up or awning would be great! Can't wait to go again next weekend!!!

    Murrieta Dog Park

A very nice dog park. I have been there with both of my large dogs 5 times so far in the last 2 weeks. There are 2 seperate areas for large and small dogs. Most of the park is dirt (decomposed granite) with a small grass area. There is no shade and only one picnic table for people to sit. It could use more benches, shade and a stocked baggie dispenser (it has been empty every time I have been there, so bring your own bags.). There is a water fountain for dogs. So far, the dogs and people have been friendly.
