Great Dog Park in North Phoenix

I just recently moved to North Phoenix about a year ago and have been bringing my German Shepherd here at least once a week (while the weather is nice, of course!). The park has 2 sections, 1 for small dogs and 1 for large. There is ample space for running and playing. However, if you're looking for your pup to have playmates, I'd recommend going between 4 and 6 pm on the weekdays, otherwise there isn't much activity. The dog area is pretty easy to find, but if you are having trouble, I would recommend downloading the app, Avem. It is an app that helps you find park amenities. Overall, we love this park and will continue going back!

    Not bad, could be better

We have been in search of a good dog park for our chocolate lab. This park was open, plenty of space to run, plenty of trash cans for poop. However, because it's a new park the trees are tiny and offer very little shade. There are no benches or any shade for the humans. It's clean, new, great location, and has a lot of potential... But not quite there yet.

NEW Dog Park at Deem Hills

Deem Hills recently (9/11/2015) opened a brand new fenced, almost 2-acre, off-leash dog park w/ 2 separate sides for large and small dogs. Each area is grass in the middle surrounded by sandy gravel and small trees. It will be even nicer in a few yrs, when the trees get bigger. And if they would put some benches in there for the humans, I would give it 5 bones, instead of 4.
