Leashed dogs are welcome to join their humans at the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area as long as they remain on the asphalt trails. Rio Salado is a habitat restoration project. Enjoy the views of the river channel, ponds, rocks, flowers, and wildlife, but take away nothing but photos. Phoenix leash laws apply throughout the habitat restoration area, and pets must remain on a leash at all times.
