    Nice park

no off leash area for dogs but it was cool to see the Hollywood sign and get pictures. the drive up is kinda crazy but it was worth it

one of the worse dog parks in LA

very busy park, if the weathers nice there will always be lots of people here. very little shade. lots of dead areas full of just dirt with no grass. you have to watch out for rangers since it's not an off leash park. lots of parking, which is still frequently full. not worth it compared to other dog parks in hollywood

    ON LEASH

it’s a beautiful park and I totally agree with one of the reviews. there are plenty of off leash dog parks in Los Angeles and it’s not fair that my socially anxious dog can’t enjoy a stroll in the park because other owners are irresponsible and choose to ignore the fact it’s on leash. dogs with certain conditions and reasons as to why they can’t play should be able to enjoy parks as well.

    ON leash dog park

Really upsets me that so many negative reviews are about getting ticketed for having dogs off leash when my complaint is the exact opposite. Reactive/dog aggressive dogs should be allowed to enjoy on leash designated parks and that’s impossible when people let their completely untrained dogs off leash! Not to mention that the park is not set up for off leash and can be incredibly dangerous for dogs with no recall. Last time I was their I saw an Akita puppy disappear up the mountain for a good 5 minutes. Not to mention there’s a playground right next to it and I’ve seen a few kids get trampled. There are enough off leash dog parks in LA that there really is no reason to jeopardize your dog’s, other dog’s and peoples safety by letting off your dog that has no recall.

    So much grass

My dog loves it here as it is a grass park versus dirt. While it is technically an on-leash park there are a lot of dogs off-leash. Great views of the Hollywood sign, easy parking and not a ton of people.

    Careful

We enjoy the park.. Rangers do frequent and tonight, we weren't paying attention and we got busted. No ticket but a warning... Bummer

    don't do it

they are becoming relentless about giving tickets. just got one tonight -- at 6pm -- while it was dark out and i was the only one in the park (with my dogs).

    Tons of dogs

Big open space, easy parking, and plenty of dogs of all sizes to play with. Not officially an off leash park, but everyone does it. Just keep an eye out for the ranger truck as they sometimes visit especially on the weekends.

    Best in LA

I don't know why the last review was so negative... I go to this park at least once a week and EVERY dog is off leash. Everyone is friendly, including dogs. People pick up after. And I've seen the patrol walk by. You don't get tickets here. There is a dog on leash sign, but in 3 years I've never had a problem.
