    On the mend

Membership only with proof of veterinary care to keep everyone safe from the rampant spread of conditions in dogs lately.

Toys available, locked gate, water bowls, bridge and a-frame structures for the dogs, poop bags, shade trees and small hut with benches and chairs all available.

I’m happy to pay the fee to keep this location accessible since we use it daily and our dog and her fellow dog members are much happier for it. The site is largely sand.

    Afternoon Dog Visits

Every day during my lunch break, I take my dog Fable to the Manchester Dog Park. There are plenty of toys available and the park is clean with friendly/attentive dog owners. The park is memebership only ($60.00 a year, or $5 a month prorated), which means every dog in the park is up to date on their vaccinations. This is very comforting to our family because Fable has been very sick in the past due to playing with an unvaccinated dog at another location.

The park is well maintained and I am happy to pay the fee to know my dog has a safe place to play!

    Disappointed 😞

When I first arrived I thought "This is what a dog park looks like?" I had never been to one before. There wasn't a soul in sight and it looked like a deserted sand lot with a few dog related items. I could see a small shaded area with a picnic table (like a shed), a dog ramp, and some tires for them to run through like in an obstacle course. I was iffy about even going in, only to find out that you need to be a member. I looked at the reviews on this app and it seems to be a small fee ($10/year I think?) but I live an hour away from here. Not worth it to me.

    Nice Park

This is a nice fenced in run for my dog to blow off steam and sniff. It is member only as the city of Manchester wouldn't have a dog park any other way I've been told. It is $10 a year for membership. Which is kind of nice actually, you don't get those awful encounters with unfriendly dogs with their careless owners. I've had my dog bitten at other parks so this is a welcome change.

No, there isn't grass, but there is sand, are places to sit, tunnels for pups to run through, and it's large for big games of fetch. There are some fire hydrants that have been added and a covered area for rainy days and some shady spots from over hanging trees. There are picnic tables and water bowls for the pups.

There are always extra bags, I don't know what these other people are talking about, and again because you have to be a member, people actually pick up after their dogs and care.

Oveall my pup and I are happy with all of our experiences.

    CEO

The Manchester Dog Park (aka Peanut Park) is maintained, funded, and controlled by the Manchester Dog Park Association and its Members. The MDPA and its new leadership is striving to make Peanut Park a great place to visit eith your four legged friends. The park is clean and the issues mentioned in previous comments i.e. homeless, trash, etc. have been dealt with and are no longer an issue. If your'e in the Greater Manchester area, this is a great place to visit with your dog.

    GOOD FOR ACTIVE DOGS

Members and dogs are friendly and the city doesn`t run the park. The park is clean and has plenty of shade. So maybe Susan and Ann don`t know what their talking about . The trees that shade the Park didn`t grow over night. Large and small dogs play together fine. ALYSSA really saw our park, not like the others , I use the park every hope see you there.

    Worse place ever

I was in the area for a trip and this seemed like a easy place to take my dog, as it was close, worse idea ever!!! For a place that is supposed to be paid membership, they don't get anything for the money, except a fenced yard with a bunch of dirt and homeless people. I didn't think there could be a worse place for a dog park. I left after a few minutes, seeing the people there, doing God knows what, smoking, leaving butts everywhere. Drive further to any other dog park!

    Good for Outgoing Dogs

My German Shepherd and I went to Peanut Park today for the first time today. I have to admit, these reviews turned me off and made me hesitant to go. I packed my truck with garbage bags and a poop scooper thinking I could at least make the park clean for myself and my dog while we were there.
What a pleasant surprise when we arrived! Yes, it is a small park, but it was clean. The other dog owners there all cleaned up after their dogs and were very friendly. My shepherd fit right in and had a blast rough housing with his new Mastiff friend. All of the dogs there while I was there liked to rough house and play chase. There's also a short hiking trail that runs through some nice scenery on the other side of the road and I was told it continues across the street on the same side the dog park is on.
I don't think a shy dog would've been comfortable with the crowd that was there today, but my dog loved the atmosphere. There isn't a small dog side, so I would recommend only bringing medium and up sized dogs unless your little dog gets along well with large dogs.
There are four garbage bag stations that I saw fixed on the fence, so you do not have to bring your own bags, or if you don't bring enough, there are some available. There's also a bin of toys, which I thought was great because the toys could be picked up and put away if any of the dogs started to become toy aggressive - a feature that both the Hooksett and Derry dog parks lacked. Overall, I was very, very happy with our experience there today and will definitely be going back.
There's always going to be the few people who don't look after their dogs and don't clean up after them - I've seen it at both the Hooksett and Derry parks - but if responsible owners like the ones I met today continue to go, it's a place I'm happy to bring my shepherd to and something that I can't complain about.

    What a Joke

I cannot believe that the wonderful dog park we were supposed to have is this place!!! What a joke. Like the other lady said...it's a fenced in poop area with no grass and no separate areas for small dogs. I honestly cannot believe that this cheap ass city charges $10.00 for this dog park. Give me a break!!All other towns have a nice free dog park and people bring bags and come and socialize together....but oh no, not here in good old Manchester...where there is a price tag on almost everything!!!

    Unsafe

Worse location in city, many homeless people live in area. This "park" is little more then a fenced in poop area, with no separate areas for small and large dogs, no grass, no shade, no running water
