    Not for Visitors

We visit a relative at Surfside Beach frequently with our dog. Would have loved to take him to the park to play Frisbee, etc, but rules require dogs be registered with Surfside. Not worth it for visits. Also, given all of the other Surfside dog rules, there's simply no other place to play. Park looks OK, although it looks pretty scrubby and worn out overall. Also, there are transients that frequent the nearby park. Doesn't feel all that safe, especially in the evenings. If you are a visitor with a dog, I'd look elsewhere.

    Great Place

This dog park is smaller than Myrtle Beach's but big enough for dogs to run. Large and small dog sides, and squirrels. My dog liked it. Not the best park I have ever visited but nice.

    Just What Our Pups Needed

Our girls needed a place to run and let out some energy and this park was perfect. It has a place for small dogs and big dogs plenty of room and a place for people to sit.i would recommend it

    sigh dont go

This park is the pits. Right now 2 people smoking on the benches. Yesterday some old guy was taking urinating in the park even know there is a outhouse 500 ft away. Same person everyday talking business on his cell phone so loud you could hear all over the park must want people to think he is important. This was all my one week visit. Politly asked them to stop smoking and reffered them to the park rules sign-- was told to mind my own business. Call the police as indicated on the sign-- They never showed up.

    bad park

This is a bad park. no grass all mud. NO enforcement of rules. NO SMoking sign around -- but people are in the park smoking. Market Commons park is way better

    Dog Disagreements

Thoroughly enjoy the park on a regular basis. However, when unregistered dogs (usually non-town residents) are present dog "disagreements" frequently occur. The town should enforce the ordinance that calls for dogs to have and wear current Town of Surfside Beach license tags for both safety and health reasons.

    Will Do in a Pinch

The dog park in Surfside Is little more than a fenced vacant lot (actually 2 lots - one for large and one for small dogs.). For this you pay a fee. My recomendation would be to go a short distance north to Market Commons, to a real dog park - and it is free! The Bark Parc is close to Myrtle Beach State Park on what used to be the old Air Force Base. A huge area is available and it is 200 times better - actually there is no comparison...and FREE! Your furbabies will love it!

    What a great facility

Used the dog park in Surfside for the first time today. .Had a great time. Just one other dog when we arrived, five by the time we left. They all got along and our dog had a great run. People were friendly too!

Surfside Beach has both a small dog park and a large dog park. We have many regulars using the parks and are very pleased with them. There have been no problems with dog getting along and we have met many nice owners and dogs. Love it!
