    New Dog Park here

Really nice new dog park. If you have a utility dog there are utility pieces in both the Small and Large dog areas. The trail isn't to long and nicely laid out and flat. My Service Dog and my Service Dog in Training - this is our go to Dog Park even though it is an hour away it's the best park by far near Ellijay, GA.

    Not really much

the trails are nice. But the fenced area is disappointing. We could deal with the size as both our pups are under 40lbs. But there is a bush with spiky leaves that seems dangerous for a dog park AND there is only about 5 cubic feet of grass. The rest is leaves and dirt. Seems like its here to just give the dogs a chance to be off leash while the owner stretches or has a quick snack.
Also walk with your dog around the fence as some areas are separating and skinny dogs may squeeze through.

    Squirrel!

Very nice trails for walking, most in the woods. My dog loves all the squirrels. Yes the off lash area is small. I see this park as a walking park. The disc course is on the same land but rarely used and no big deal.

    A little disappointed.

We took our Jenny to this park on 09/19/2016. We were excited to have her play and roam off leash. The fenced area is rather small and as stated, the latch seems loose. There is a water station at the gates along with poop bags. The trails are shared with the disk golf course. The trails across the Hwy. are beautiful but NO Dogs allowed 😐🤔.

    very nice dog trails

If you can find the dog friendly side of Meeks Park (on the north side of art 515), you will find a very nice gravel trail through the woods and by the parks disc golf course. We estimated the trail to be at least .5 miles...the path goes by a lovely meadow that has a plank walkway out into it that allows you to walk into the actual meadow-really nice. The reason we have it 4 bones is that there was no water station that we could see for the dogs....we brought water for our dog though. Give it a try !!

    Nice trails

The off leash area is too small. Dogs can't zoom. There is only one gate and the latch was was not sturdy. No introduction/unleashing area. We stood by the gate.

Perfect for morning exercise with the pooch

My dogs LOVE this park. The trails wind through the woods and offer lots of great sights / smells and squirrels to bark at! Pavilion at base of trail has restrooms and picnic tables. This is a regular stop for us when we are in the area.

    Fantastic dog walk trails

Off-leash area is small, but main dog walk park is large, shaded, and scenic. Borders river / lake area with walkway and gazebo over the water.

    Meeks Park dog walking trails

Meeks Park is on the south and north sides of Hwy. 515. The north side has fabulous dog walking trails. The south side is for runners only. Small off leash area on north side.

    Horrible Excuse for a Park

This dog park is absolutely a sad excuse for a dog park. It's a tiny fenced in area in the middle of the woods. It seemed like an afterthought to the actual park across the street. I'd never bring my dog here again.
