Dog loved this place
Lots of space for play

My dog really enjoyed the big open space for him to roam around. There was also shade for both me and my dog. The cooling off station was also great.
Dog Park

It is a great dog park, but it is not a beach dog park. It is a dog park at the beach, but you are not allowed to take your dog on the beach.
Great Dog Park!

Double fenced in area and very nice locals. It's one of the nicest dog parks we've been to.
Great dog park
Marianne in Pittsburgh, PA
Dog park is large and has two sections... Small and large dog sections. Watering stations, benches and shade. The downfall is the $5 parking fee and no dogs allowed on the beach. Our Great Dane loved the actual dog park though!
Parking Issue
Joe in Pickerington, OH
Great park but poor parking. Cost is $5 minnimum. Not a place to go if you are looking for a 15-20 minute run. I wish the park would bring back its meters so visitors can pay less than $5 for a short stay.

I did a search for dog-friendly beaches in Clearwater and the result was Sand Key. Luckily I went to check it out before out-of-town guests would be visiting, because this is not a beach that allows dogs at all. It has dog runs only. Very disappointed that there is only one dog beach in the area (Honeymoon Island). In addition, $5 parking fee is steep if you only want to use the park for less than an hour or so.
