    Large Dog Side Awful

Owners in the large dog side ignore their dogs. The Husky’s will pack up and be aggressive to less aggressive dogs. Their owners don’t care and you are left to fend for yourself. I will never go back. It’s a shame, it a large beautiful park.

    Beautiful Location

I drove an hour specifically because this park had good reviews and it really is a beautiful community with a gorgeous view of the valley. The park itself was big and split for large dogs and small dogs which I liked. There was plenty of room to sit and had a water station with 2 or 3 bowls for the dogs to drink out of and plenty of poop bags. Everyone was respectful and all the dogs were playful and friendly. The only con was the weather, because this is up in the canyon, it was exceptionally windy and low 50’s. definitely plan depending on the day. Oh and there is also plenty of parking so no problem there. Bring extra layers and a Starbucks and you and your furr family should be good. 😊

    👍

Wonderful place to bring dogs. Although my dog gets antsy right outside of the park, he always has an amazing time while there. People there are great!

Small Dog Side Yes, Large NO

Take your chances if you take your dog to the large dog side. The owners don't watch their dogs and think they should "work it out themselves".

    cat fight

OMG I was there when two obnoxious women got into a hilarious boxing match that lasted 2 minutes at least. There dogs did not get along so I guess these two gracious owners decided to finish it. Wow, great way to spend a morning with your pooch. Next time I will bring popcorn!!!! All in all a great park aside fr the two morons.

    Owners Attitudes

I like this dog park for my small dogs, however, I ran into an owner who insisted his dog didn't have to be neutered. His dog was constantly annoying my dogs as well as other dogs but the owner said because his dog wasn't 'humping' other dogs it was ok. He and his girlfriend were adamant and rude and then told me they were BREEDERS, as if to say that exempted them. They said there is nothing on the park rules that said dogs have to be neutered, which he was correct on. I'd like to know what the law is about this. The entire incident made me uncomfortable.

My first time at Big Sky.

Today was my first time at Big Sky and my dog Charlie loved it. There are two sections one for big dogs and the other for small/medium dogs. Charlie is a small dog and the other parks we have been to have such a tiny section for small dogs and that is not the case here. Both sections are really big with plenty of room to play and run around. I went on a sunday around 3:00 pm and even though it was kind of cold there were still plenty of dogs in both sections to play with. Everyone was really friendly and attentive to their dogs. I can't wait to bring Charlie again and I know he can't wait too! I had to drag him away bc he didn't want to leave and even though it's a bit of a drive from Ventura, it is definitely worth the drive. If you are looking for a good place to bring your dog you need to check it out.

    Great park and location

This park is GREAT! I have only brought my two big "kids" so far but they love it! The field is huge, tennis balls are provided and there are even water bowls/stations. On the weekends you can find at least 20 big dogs there. It's fun to watch your dog interact while chatting with other dog owners too. Everyone is very nice.

    Safety concern

Very nice and clean park. The only complaint I have is instead of weed wacking along the chain length fence that enclose the dog areas, they spray an herbicide to kill the grass. Recent studies show growth abnormalities in both fish and mammals exposed to herbicides. I don't think anyone who has seen this information would want their dogs exposed to any amount of herbicide.
