    Great!

We brought our pup here for socialization. We went early afternoons on week days and it was great. Very clean and not crazy busy but enough dogs for my pup to chase and play with. Will frequent here often.

    Tons of dogs

We played Pickleball at the courts right next to this dog park and new we had to come back with our dogs. when we were there just to play we noticed the park full. When we came back with our boys we were just as excited to see it was full again. Not only was the Large dog area filled with friends but the small dog sectioned had a lot too. I’ve been to a lot of dog parks and actually never witnessed the small dog area ever really being full.

    Pros- lots of dogs
    Cleaning area
    Shade
    Large Area
Seperated large and small dog section
Beautiful area to walk your dogs outside the dog park

Cons- Parking is terrible because of how busy it is. So that is good and bad.
It is a little ways to walk to get to the park. So you don’t get out and the entrance is right there. You have to walk a short ways to get to the dog park.

    Updated review - great spot

okay this place hasn’t been reviewed in the last 5 years so I was hesitant. it’s very dirt and mulch heavy not as much grass. but large and open late and near other parks and tennis courts. they also have a bathing station at the exit!! all the dogs and owners we met were great and everyone cleaned up their messes.

    Everytthing I Expected, and MORE!

OK, so in truth, this was my first dog park. Anyway, I have heard numerous things about different dog parks that made me reluctant to take my dog to one--poo everywhere, dog aggression, and the personal possibility of my dog jumping on someone (as a greeting) and getting sued for "vicious dog". This park is SO nice. It seems VERY clean (my dog never ate anything, nor did I step in anything), it is also kept up and has shady benches in it. All dog owners were very nice and cleaned up after their dogs. Also, it was not crowded (just 5 or 6 dogs). I am definitely coming back!

    Aggressive dogs and not clean!

I've been several times to this park. I've been lucky on a few occasions when it hasn't been crowded and my dogs have been able to just roam around without being bothered. But 2 other times when there have been many dogs, each of my dogs has been attacked. I won't be going back even though it's close to my house. People who have dogs that aren't good in social situations shouldn't go to the dog park! Some people can be so very inconsiderate.

    Dirty

I am from out-of-town and took my dog to this park only once. I was hoping to find a dog park close to my hotel, but this is not it. The park for the small dogs was more dirt than grass which brought many gnats. My dog and I stayed for about 30 minutes, and I am glad that my dog is small. In the side for the big dogs was filled with a few dogs that were very aggressive with owners that thought it was funny and did nothing about it, although it was very clear the owners of the other dogs were agitated. My dog and I have visited several parks while visiting, and this park will not be one that we revisit.

    Dirty, Aggressive Dogs

We live right near the park, you hear the dogs barking and fighting during peak hours. Our dog was attacked in Jan. 2016. The owner is refusing to pay for her pit bull attacking our 30lb dog and her many medical bills. There is a sign that says owners are responsible for their dog's actions. Another women recently said her hand was bit by a dog at the park, accumulated $1200 in injuries. Another time I was knocked down by dogs that were jumping on each other and no one was watching. Aside from the vicious dogs, there is poop EVERYWHERE. Every time I leave I have to wash my shoes off. We have decided to never go back to that park even though we can see if from our house. It is not worth it.

    Small and Dirty

LOL at the previous commenter who called it Foul on the Lake. That's a pretty good summary, even if it was unintended. This is a muddy park that seems to attract people who don't clean up their dogs' poop. It is convenient to many St Pete neighborhoods, and close by a children's playground, but for the dogs, there are much nicer dog parks in and around St Pete.

    Dog Attack, again.

I agree with everything the previous reviewer said about the poo and the mud and that Crescent Lake is poorly maintained.
Also....my dog was attacked on the 4th of July by a large brindle colored mixed male. He had to get 5 stitches for a fairly large deep puncture wound. PEOPLE WHO OWN AGGRESSIVE DOGS SHOULD NOT GO TO DOG PARKS! Its a good thing it was my boyfriend who was there with him because I would've been little help breaking the dogs up. With all the great reviews we hear about North Shore we're switching.

    Relaxing

This dog park is relaxing for both dogs and humans. There is a dog shower, drinking water, and plenty shade, even a bench. I have always encountered mello dogs and owners. Owners here have always been attentive and polite. I highly recommend this park for spending quality time with your pet and for making new friends for both of you.

Cleanliness and interesting Foul on the Lake

My 4 dogs, yes FOUR, and I are regulars at several local dog parks. As time goes on we have regarded Cresent Lake as our favorite in the area. It is a spotless clean park conveniently located on a lake inhabited by ducks, geese and other foul make it an always interesting adventure for four legged furry friends. The off leash area has fresh water, plenty of trees for shade and is not SO big to intimidate my little ones, all under 12lbs. Other dog owners we've met have been respectful and nice also coming to the park for the wellbeing and socialization of their own dogs. We have not visited the park after a heavy rain as any park would be a muddy mess after some of the Florida rains we get here. We have also not had a problem with dog owners not cleaning up after their pets or fleas. We have seen from time to time problems with dogs fighting in the large dog area. We have never seen this in the small dog area so it has never been a problem for us. Overall for location, cleanliness and interesting foul on and near the lake. We have to rate Cresent Lake Dog Park as our #1!!

    Crescent Lake Dog Park

This dog park has two areas, one for small dogs and one for little dogs. Since our dog is 12 pounds, we keep him in the small dog area -- why take chances with the big dogs? The small dog area is nice, with water and a bench in a shady area. The only downside is that the small dog area is muddy after a rain and then your dog gets filthy when playing. Otherwise, a great park.

    cresent lake dog park

Went to walk around the lake for many years - this is nice but you must be very aware of other dogs...owners do not pickup poop always and on occasion have met with unleashed dogs that were aggressive. The dog park itself is poorly maintained. Owners often do not watch/ control dogs - park is almost all dirt and muddy after rain... - fleas abound...dog poop everywhere. In one year know three cases of dogs being attacked with no repercussion to the owner or help to the wounded dogs/owners. One death resulted. We changed to North Shore Dog Park by the Vinoy - North Shore Pool area. Wonderful by comparison.
