    An excellent park

My pup loves this park. It is quite spacious with plenty of room to run and swim. Owners are very friendly. Humans be careful walking, there are some tripping hazards.

    Great park !!!!

We brought our 2 pups here while visiting Myrtle Beach. What an amazing dog park!! It was huge! It has a large lake that you can around so it almost seemed like we were on a trail at one point. Owners & pets were spread out & not congregating in 1 spot. Loved it!! The locals sure are fortunate to have this wonderful park to come to!

Nice Park , most dog owners are respetful of policies !

the majority of the dogs are monitored by their owners but a small portion are not, Typical case of owner needs training, not their dog. They just sit on benches smoking ( smoke free park ) and mingle with other dog owners and let their dogs ride other doggs, jump on people, fight with other dogs etc. Other that that it is great, The few uneducated owners ruin it for several. The town should monitor a little more and fine tune the rif raf owners to obide or stay away. Thank You Myrtle Beach for the park .

    Amazing dog park

such a nice dog park! a Saturday day morning there was a lot of dogs there. all dogs were friendly and the owners were attentive. Great to be able to take a walk around the lake and still remain within the fenced area. our dog lives to swim and a lot of dogs were running back and forth into the water

    A Myrtle Beach staple

We happened upon this dog park a few years ago while road tripping down the coast with our Shiba - he loved it! Since then, we've added another to pup to the pack and when we stopped in Myrtle Beach we came straight to Barc Parc. It's a huge park with a few different sections, but we enjoy the "all dog" area with the lake in the middle. The park is well-kept and the dogs and owners we've come across have been pleasant and friendly. They have poop bags, trash cans, and benches in the shade on the trail surrounding the lake. Our dogs love to play in the lake, and though I worry about them getting sick we usually see other dogs splashing about and haven't had any issues with the water yet. We can't wait to come back!

    Great spot for doggie fun

3 sections, 1 for small dogs (shade and sun), 1 dog large dogs (mostly shaded), and 1 for any size dog (has pond). large spaces for dogs to run. sign statues only fixed dogs allowed, but not enforced as long as your dog is friendly. the ducks and white geese love to tease the dogs. A lot of fun for my active pup.

    Great Place

This place is awesome. The people seem to pick up after their dogs, which is not always the case. My dog loves to swim and this has a huge fenced pond. If you don't want a wet dog there are two sections fenced off for large and small dogs. It is behind a shopping center.

    Must Go!

This place was wonderful. Our Golden had a great time retrieving whatever we threw in the lake for him. Lots of other friendly dogs and we met some very nice people as well. If you have a dog, this is a place you have to visit.

We LOVED this park! it wasn’t too far from our hotel so we took our chocolate lab there every morning to tire her out. It’s nice that there are two separate spots

    Amazing!!

This place outdid my expectations. I’m visiting the area and wanted to find a park for my labs to run. and boy did we find one. There is a huge fenced in lake area for the pups to swim in. My littlest wouldn’t leave it. water is her favorite. Then two fenced in dog parks for big dogs and little dogs. Highly recommend this place and I’m very picky about parks.

    Great Dog Park

I visited the park for the first time today and it was great! It has a lot of space for dogs to run and I love that they can swim in the lake. My dog had a ton of fun exploring the park and socializing.

Great For Walking And Very Spacious

We took our 20 pound Cavapoo there and he really enjoyed playing in the lake and running around with the other dogs. It has a separate area for big dogs and small dogs along with the main area. Great for dogs who love water and fun even for ones that don’t.

    Love This Place

I have brought my dogs here when visiting my parents for several years. It was much cleaner in terms of poop around than last year (I stepped in it). My dog is a Portuguese Water Dog and loves to swim, he swims while I walk the lake. I try to not let him drink the water, there is a fresh water station, he inevitably drinks the pond water and has not had a problem. Pond seems clean and doesn’t smell. People I have met are nice. Most dogs are fine, and like others said like in all dog parks some get into scuffles, but are usually handlers by responsible owners. This is a very safe community area!

    Daily Dog Park

I made an account to review the dog parks in my area so that visitors can hear from a local who uses them regularly.

This is our daily dog park. If my dog isn’t in daycare (and sometimes those days afterwards) we are here at least once a day. He’s a lab mix so he is full energy and loves to swim.

There are three sections. Big, little, and all dogs (which is the biggest and includes the pond). The small dog area is mostly grass and has trees, but isn’t very shady. The big dog area is half sandy/pine needles and half grass, with a lot of shady trees but some open areas with sunshine too. The all dog area has a mix of trees, grass, sand, and dirt. The banks of the pond are pretty much sandy dirt, not goopy mud. (It is the beach after all. )

There are some picnic tables in all areas, and a covered picnic shelter with one table in it inside the all dog area. Every area has one dog watering station, there is no human water fountain. There is also a large portapotty outside the small dog area.

Like any dog park there might be an aggressive dog here or there, but in my experience, only once was the dog not removed or leashed immediately. A lot of the big dogs like to tumble but some don’t, and in general they just leave the non-tumblers alone. If they don’t most often their owners will tell them to leave off of the other dog and the pack will follow. My dog loves to swim, and there is almost always at least 3 dogs fetching and swimming in the pond. The pond isn’t super clean, it doesn’t circulate. It’s not scummy, trash-filled or smelly, it’s just a pond. It’s got ducks and turtles and some fish. My dog swims in it every day and we bathe him regularly about once a week and he has never had any problems.

As far as meeting people, I’m not social at all and I have had no problem meeting and striking up a conversation with locals or visitors, dog parks tend to do that. Most owners are really good about picking up after their dogs or pointing out (nicely) if yours goes and you miss it. There are multiple bag stands and trash cans in every area. There are also stations with shovels and hoes if your dog digs a hole, and it is requested you fill it in before you leave.

An important note is that this park is CLOSED ON MONDAYS BEFORE 11 FOR MAINTENANCE. If you do show up early and need to kill time, just drive a little bit over to the commons and walk (leashed!) on the paths there around the lake or through the shops. There is no swimming for dogs or people in the commons lake.

    I hope this covered everything!

    Beware of Aggressive dogs

My dog was attacked here earlier today by multiple other dogs. I could tell the dogs owner had experienced this aggressiveness before but chose to still bring his dog back. While the park has a nice lake and plenty of walking area, the lack of accountability by some dog owners is the reason I will never be back. If you want an adrenaline rush and possible trip to the vet, please go here. If not, head to the barc park north.

    Avoid at all cost

Filthy water NO ONE picks up after their dog poop everywhere or monitors their dog The city needs to clean up the park enforce pick up laws and keep aggressive dogs out. Yes I am a visitor to Myrtle Beach often something the locals seem to detest its like its their park and don't want anyone else visiting. If this were the only option for me and mine I would take the initiative and fix this sore on the bottom of Myrtle Beach. I have the time Im retired and financial resources to do this It a wonder someone hasn't gotten hurt at that park those locals are going to give their attitude to the wrong person one day. IF ANYONE MUST VISIT THIS PARK I SUGGEST YOU TAKE OUT YOUR IPHONE AND RECORD EVERYTHING WHILE THERE AND BE PREPARED TO CALL 911

    Highlight of our trip

Our Three westies travel with us and we found this park while looking for things to do. First I like to say this park is fully enclosed with a little mini lake inside it. My one westie loves to swim and my two other like to just hang out so this park worked out perfectly for us. We visited it 3 times out of 4 days we were in SC

    Dogs must be socialized

The bad reviews about this park are by tourists with small spoiled dogs that are not socialized with other dogs. I have lived here over 8 years and walk dogs at this location DAILY and have noticed only people from out of town have a problems actually to the point of violence. I would not recommend this park for anyone with a new dog, or any for that matter till they are socialized.

    Love it

The park is large and nice. Most owners seem to pick up after their dogs. And most owners are not too far from their dogs and seem to be keeping an eye on them. My dog loves the pond, though I wish he wouldn't drink the water. Altogether the nicest dog park I have been to.

    Great Fun for Dog People

Its a relief to find such a great place for my dog, since moving here I have been battling the masses and rules trying to take my Staffordshire Terrier to the beach. I do wish the pond was cleaner and circulated but my boy had a blast anyway. I am a dog person and love meeting every dog and expect to get a little dirty. If you expect perfect manners out of a dog you and princess should probably just stay at the Marriott. I found everyone to be really cool, a lot of sweet dogs and no riffraff, as a matter of fact there was a Sherriff in the parking lot both days I was there. 4 bones because I would like to see cleaner water.

    Be wary of this park

4/51/16. Brought my small dog here on what is SUPPOSED TO BE THE SMALL DOG SIDE, my dog was swarmed by big dogs, barked at and bitten! The owners were not monitoring their dogs and we barely made it out of the bark park in one piece! WHO IS MONITORING THIS PARK???

    Loved the park!

We took my golden to the park every afternoon for the 5 days we stayed in Myrtle Beach. She loved it. The first day we were there, I was hesitant to let her in the water. There's signs posted saying dogs swim at your own risk, which worried me. I spoke with another dog mom and she memotioned her golden got sick from swimming it in once. We still let my dog in and she was fine. It's a great dog park with friendly dogs. We had no problems, very friendly people there.

    Very nice dog park

We boarded our 2 dogs at Camp Bow Wow while vacationing in Myrtle Beach so we could visit with them. We took them to this dog park twice & they LOVED it. My yorkie loves to play fetch & there were tennis balls all over the place, I was so glad b/c I had not brought one for him. There were plenty of other dogs for them to play with & all of the owners were pleasant & everyone was monitoring their dogs. The area nice, clean & well kept. There are lots of benches to sit on in the shade & clean up stations with bags provided. They have a human & doggie water fountain. We only went into the small dog area, so I did not see the lake, but the large dogs in the fence area next to us were having a blast. All of those owners seemed to be staying close by & monitoring their dogs as well. I was a little hesitant about going at first but I'm so glad we did. I wish we had a nice place like this where I live, we would be there everyday! Thank you Myrtle Beach for providing such a wonderful dog park.

    Dog Park by Market Commons

I wish we had DATES on these reviews to see if complaints are in the past or current. We visited 9/15/2015 and this is by far the best i have ever seen. HUGE lake with plenty if room to get away from others. Everyone was very responsible and it was really clean. Kudos to Myrtle Beach! Would post a pic, but dont see anywhere on this form.

    Very well maintained

We took our three big dogs here every day of our week long vacation and they LOVED it! The pond is huge and there is a track surrounding it for you to walk with your pups! Tons of poop bag stands and trashcans throughout. We're going to miss the dog park more than the beach!!

    Great Park

We visited this park while on vacation. Liked it so much we went back every day. After all, it was Chloe's vacation, too. She loved swimming. The park is much larger than most parks with much more shade. She loved it.

    Fun time

A little far from all the hotels and attractions but worth the drive! Two different parks in one. The pond in the middle was perfect for a hot day and dogs to swim and run around. The dry area was perfect for shy dogs and just to chill outside.

Myrtle Beach Ha s Great Dog Parks

At 14 acres this is one of the largest parks I've seen anywhere. The lake is a bonus for water dogs. Plenty of trees, trash cans and bag dispensers. The small dog park is larger than most places entire dog park.
    Our Greyhounds loved it.

    Great park!

We took our two dogs here while on vacation and camping nearby. They had a blast! The park was clean and the other owners friendly. The lake is dirty, but it's a dog park! Our boys have never been to a dog park or seen a lake ans they played and ran until they couldn't go any more. This was a great experience for them to socialize and exercise.

Generally a nice place but did have to switch areas depending on who was in each fenced off place. Some of the people and dogs there were very and responsible others let their dogs do whatever and didn't watch them

    Not thrilled

Overall the place wasn't bad except for the people and their dos. I tried to walk in with my dogs and w were met by about 6 small dogs and when I let him through the door they all attacked him and were nipping him until the owner finally made her way over and picked up one dog that was nipping at me and attempted to call the rest off but when she started to walk her others again went after mine. Everyone there seemed snobby and just made it uncomfortable for new people to go there. The water wasn't a bad and my boys enjoyed that part of the park.

    This place is awesome!

I don't know where the people from Piedmond went, but it wasn't this park. This place is HUGE! There's a massive lake in the middle of it that is clean and beautiful. It's different than any other dog park I've been to. It's clean and if you just want to let your dog off the leash away from other dogs, there's plenty of space to do so. My dog loved it.

    Dogs Love It!

We live in NJ, but go to MB nearly every year with our two dogs (Chow mix and Husky Mix). Even though a year passes before we revisit each year, as soon as we start to park they know where they are and race for the fence. One of them absolutely loves to swim and fetch sticks. The other meets and greets every dog that comes in. The only reason for the 4 stars, instead of 5, is that it really would be better if the lake had some kind of circulation, although when in MB my dogs go every day and swim in the lake and have never gotten sick.

    Needs some monotoring

This park has the potential to be a great park, Though posted no aggressive dogs allowed, no one around to inforce it my wife was jumped on and knoked to the ground by a large dog trying to snap at our Shih Tzu in her arms. We go to the North End Park where people tend to keep the small dog area free of large dogs.

Fun swim, fun day, great place.

Love a place where my dog can go off leash with the added benefit of swimming. The water was not dirty but I would give your dog a bath as a precaution. Spoke to every dog owner there and not one had experienced any problems with the digs swimming there or with drinking the water while playing.

    Best one yet

I live in NC and have been looking for a good dog park to bring my 2 dogs too, so far this one has been the best. It is very big and has swimming which is very important. The water is a little dirty but it's nothing a good bath afterwards wouldnt fix. The only recommendation I have is bring your own drinking water for your pup. Will def be going back.

Well other then this plce would be much more lovier if it was easier to find lol , No address posted on either of the websites makes it difficult for a traveller with a pitbull puppy to find the plce. Dogs always wrestle and are dirty alll the time! so it is a great place. thank you , please someone post the address to this park for future reference of other tourists and visitors

    Lots of Fun

Two large enclosures, lots of shade and benches, as well as agility structures. Human and pet water fountains, a lake, and easy access to parking make it a lot of fun.
