    New to Dog Parks

We live out in the woods so I have never considered a dog park. However after reading several reviews on different sites recognizing dog parks we are considering trying a few out. I can only hope to meet "Ron the Bully". Out here in the country we dont tolerate this kind of behavior, and to abuse fellow per owners trying to offer their best friend a positive enviroment is pathetic. So we will be trying these places out and hope our luck is with us and we meet this person. I believe this would be the last time this person forces his opinions on someone else.
Ron I drive a White Ford and I look forward to meeting you soon

    Try it, you'll like it!

I've been to this dog park numerous times. The people are friendly, seem to watch their dogs and intercede when needed. Almost all pick up after their dogs, there is shade, plenty of room to run and it's free. I have never run into Ron so give this park a try!

    ;)

I will be avoiding this park based on the fact I would be willingly putting myself into a situation requiring me to mince words with "Ron". As my IQ was lowered simply by reading his comments, I don't want to get into a stupid argument as he will only beat me with experience.Ron, I don't expect you caught the joke THERE. If you had paid more attention in English instead of worrying so much about what everyone else was doing you may have been able to write YOUR comments and be taken seriously as opposed to looking like, as you affectionately put it, an idjiot.

    Dirty

Some dog owners don't clean up after their pets. There are dog poop all around the place so be careful stepping into one. Small children including an infant in a booster seat were present inside the large dog area.

    king of the dog park

I was here recently and my dog was fine until "Ron" showed up with his dog. Then we separated the dogs and left so "Ron could hold court'.

Several others took their dogs and left when "Ron" showed up.

By the way, before calling anyone an "idjit" maybe you should read the signs before putting your SMALL Bostor terrie in the LARGE dog area.

    great except

I am the guy in the red pickup mentioned in the previous comment section, I never say anything to anyone EXCEPT, when they so not know the rules of the park or their dog shows aggresive behavior to my or another visitors dog. Sometimes someone has to say something to the idjits that don't know how to handle there dog or to follow the rules, and yes I will be outspoken then when it's my dog or someone ( usually a Lady ) that is either new or to mild mannered to speak up then I WILL say something, for one reason I have seen fights between dogs at the park and it is because the owners are IDIOTS who don't know how to or won't control their dog.

    Horrible Experience

I would honestly think twice about going to this dog park if I were you. Though the facility is very nice and most of the people were friendly enough, there is one very LARGE man who rules the park like it is his private fiefdom. I mention his bulk only because he is a bully who literally throws his weight around. He is an amazingly overprotective "pet parent" who intimidates the rest of the dog park people. He was verbally and physically threatening and actually pushed patrons around. This guy is a regular (with friends) and drives a red, four wheel drive truck (license plate ends with 338). If you see it in the parking lot - keep on moving! What started out as a great experience turned into a very, very negative visit. I will never bring my dogs back here and I recommend you avoid this place as well.

    Overall very nice

Separate large/small dog areas, benches and water fountain, restrooms. Currently under some renovation, for needed improvements with drainage/water issues, but it is open and already improving. Watch your dogs closely. Thoughtless patrons are not uncommon, who ignore rules of cleaning up, fail to watch their dogs closely for problems, and bring small children into the dog areas. Be alert, and all should be well.
