    Decent Park

Fully Fenced, Open Dawn to Dusk, Free, Small and Dog Sides, Grassy, no stimulating activities, lots of shade trees and a water fountain for drinking, few benches for sitting

Not a regular, but still a fan

I currently don't have a dog that's a fan of dog parks. However....when I want to get some exercise and interact with playful dogs, I come here and walk the perimeter a few times. When I DO have dogs that like to run and play with other dogs, I come here...mostly because it's free. I'm always paying real close attention to my dogs, even when other owners aren't paying attention to theirs.

    Great space for your pups!

I love taking my dogs here, the space is so huge that they can run so far but knowing that they are secure. Theres other fenced in areas and walking trails all around.

    Great park... warts and all!

Yes, it floods regularly in rainy seasons. Yes, it can be muddy and stinky sometimes. Yes, some dogs get into scuffles because it’s a free public park with no staff supervision and various personalities of dogs and owners. But, I’ve been bringing my dogs for almost six years and I’ve learned the best times to go that suit my dogs and me. I’ve met some great people and dogs there who are regulars and always make it a great experience. Otto has its ups and downs, but it remains my—and my dogs’—favorite dog park!

    Great Park!!!

Fabulous Park in Cincinnati! They have hoses and water bowls, trails, a place for big pups and little pups, our dogs were having a blast! We didn’t give it 5 stars because we wish the grass was cut more and there were a few more trees! Thanks so much Cincinnati!

    I will go back

This park does flood from time to time and it can be fairly wet after it rains. Dogs and humans have always been friendly and welcoming. I will be going back.

    First time for everything

I have read all the reviews, i was kinda nervous bringing my ladies to their first time dog park experience. Then once i had got to the park. I was welcomed in by several other dog owners. My dog loved the park. It was beautiful to see my dogs so happy. No mean doggies were in the mix. I will continue to go. I do have to say that i didn't like there was no water fountain for my dogs to get some water. So bring your dogs and some water and you will too have some happy doggies.

    Amazing Park

I bring my 2 yr old mix to this park a few times every week and we absolutely love it! There is always a few other dogs there for him to play with and run out some energy no matter the time we come. It is a large park with 2 large areas for big dogs, 1 smaller area for small dogs and and extra area for dogs that prefer to run alone or for training. The space is huge and you can easily get a spot to yourself if that's what you prefer. There's also lots of shade and benches.
Yes, it does sometimes flood with a lot of rain but my pup loves it best then lol.
As far as the reviews regarding 'bad owners' or fights', like I said, I frequent here and have been for years and I have only every seen maybe 5 tussles. Nothing I would even consider a fight, more like toddlers arguing over a ball, none of which caused any real harm to a dog. The people have always been fun to chit chat with and super friendly, save the occasional visitor who just doesn't know how dogs operate and thinks that only their dog will play with the ball they brought, ha yeah right lady. But that's about the same at any dog park I've been to. People are good about cleaning up after their pets too and there is plenty of water for the dogs.

    Owners

Dogs are going to fight. However it's the owners I'm more concerned about. Owners kick and grab other dogs in order to stop either an attack or aggressive playing. I understand the intention to stop the event yet zero foresight is happening. You choosing to violently stop a dog may aid in its aggression. Owners should be more concerned about the well being of their own dog and leave their feet out of the situation. I'm extremely disappointed at how disrespect dog owners can be however they are people thus I shouldn't be to alarmed. My dog had been at the bottom of piles before and I choose not to take out my aggression on the dog or owner. I understand these are animals and can be unpredictable. Unfortunately do to the aggressive natural of owners and not that of the dogs I can not recommend this park. It's absolutely disgusting how distasteful owners can act. The intention of the dog park is for dogs to let out energy. It is understandable that some dogs may be more high energy than others however blaming one dog for a 5 plus dog pile up unfair. I recommend for those sensitive owners take a deep break before addressing an owner and never put your hands on another dog.

    we love this place

My dog and I visit this park weekly and both love it. The people and dogs are very friendly. Everyone there cleans up after their pet and themselves. I am so happy we found this place we can share together.

    great park great dogs

This park is one of cincinnati's best. Yes it is flooded sometimes due to the terrain, yes there are occasional dog fights, and yes some dogs that I've seen there are aggressive. But 98% of the regulars that come there are great people with great dogs. Some play rough others are sweethearts but what's most important is there is an unwritten and well obeyed law of taking control and responsibility of you dog. Owners will step in and stop their dogs from acting aggressive, people are social and friendly, and most regulars know each others dogs. The one bad experience I encountered their was a dog attack my 4 month old puppy and bite her up pretty bad, but because myself and two other park attendants knew how to safely jump in we saved my pups life. And after we left for a minute to inspect and Clean my dogs wounds and the owners of the aggressive dog left the park we actually went back in and many of the attendees brought their more timid dogs up to help get our puppy into a better spirit as she was terrified. It just goes to show the level of care many of the attendees have that they did want a new pup to the park to leave fearful. Now we go a few times a week and our girl loves it and has many great dog friends. Please let my story be an example of how at any dog park, fights can accrue, but it is rare to have one with people so willing to keep the dogs safe and happy.

    awesome!

I've been going to this park for a long time, since it opened, before the walkways were paved! Great park. Doesn't have enough bones! I have 2 jack Russell's, they love it! They too get excited when we are blocks away. I non longer live in the same town and we drive 45 minutes to get there every Saturday am, and more if given opportunity. If people consider mud not clean then their dogs belong inside. The park is very well taken care of! It even has an ares to walk around just shy of 2 miles I believe. You can even connect to other larger bike trails, as well as walk right down to the river! (Our favorite part in the summer)

    AWFUL, mean dogs, dirty

I used to go to this park until I started noticing more and more fights, the park isn't being cleaned, it recently flooded! They had to close down because there was so much flooding and now it is extremely muddy and just nasty. I know fights are hard to control but there is one EVERY time I go, so I now go to Wags Park down the road it's much cleaner, dogs are temperment tested/vaccinated/fixed! and the staff is always around to watch the dogs. It's so much better and worth the cost. Paying a little more could save your dog's life!

    LOVE IT

I have been going to this park pretty regularly for the last couple weeks. My dog LOVES IT! She starts getting excited a couple blocks away when she realizes where we're going. There are always a good amount of dogs to play with and all very friendly. There is a lot of space for the dogs to play and room where you can separate yourself from the crowd if needed.

    Wow this park Rocks

I have been going to this park for about 3 years now. I love it. Anytime you go there are dogs and people. I normally go mid day during the week and there are between 10 and 20 dogs there. I love it and so do my dogs. There is enough room for you to separate with your dog or for your dog to romp and play with the others without running into someone.
There is only one down fall to this park and that is that it is in the flood plain so when it rains a lot the park floods. Most of the time you won't know tis flooded until you go down there.
