Not a good place unless you are one of the “cool kids”

I have been to this dog park several times. Only once did I enjoy it and my dog have fun and there was one other person there and the were from out of town too. The other times there you have groups of “regulars” that stand around judging others dogs’ behaviors all while ignoring their own. My dog was attacked twice by dogs obviously not socialized enough to be at a dog park. The attitude of the owners was like “well if you are a regular that don’t happen”… Finally about the third time my dog was attacked or confronted I announced loudly that my dog was friendly and tolerant - but that I was not - and if one of their dogs came after mine again it would be me that intervened and it would not end well. That got their attention.
Frankly it seems to be a place where unemployed people bring their marginally controllable dogs just to see what pops off. I’d avoid it if at all possible unless you are one of the regulars.

    Dangerous place

I don't generally write reviews but in this situation I have no choice in the matter. I went to Lenora Park for the first time today with my dog. We are in the area temporarily while I am looking at some property and wanted to find a place my dog could play with others. I read the reviews and thought I should take my dog here so he can make some friends and have a good time stretching his legs. Well after being at this dog park for 2 hours my dog was having the time of his life until it was all ruined. Next thing I know, a new woman enters the park with her dog and in less than 2 minutes is screaming that my dog is attacking her dog which he wasn't (he was trying to hump the dogs head) I took my dog off who was not exhibiting any forms of aggressive behavior but she kept screaming that he was aggressive and I told her why are you screaming so loud I began to hug my dog to protect him because I was not clear on what was happening. Then a few seconds later she screams he needs to get out. I was like that is fine I am definitely leaving. (I had no interest in being around her energy it was very negative) So as I am looking at my dog to make sure he is okay she screams at the top of her lungs I need to leave now that agrressive dogs are not allowed in the park. I told her that is fine I am leaving. A few seconds went by and she decides to call the police on me as I am trying to get my things together to go. I brought toys and my dogs bowl etc. which I needed to collect. I have literally travelled all over the world and my dog has gone with me to many dog parks in different countries, not once has he had or exhibited any aggressive behavior to another dog. Also, the two hours we were already at the park playing there were zero issues or even concerns as well (we were in the small dog section) That being said, this woman is clearly a poor reflection of this park and now area. I am simply writing a review to worn people. Do NOT take your dog here. This woman is clearly a regular here. I would hate to for you to have to experience the shear crazy. I don't like confusion and this was quite literally the most ill mannered woman I have probably encountered in my life. I would urge you to think twice before bringing your dog to this park. For the time being while I am in the area I think I will stick with indoor dog parks where I can pay money to protect my dog from the behavior and bad energy of ill informed dog owners. What was a beautiful day ended in chaos and my dog being sad about going when there was no need for any of that.

Great place for dogs to play

This is a great dog park in a very wonderful large park in Snellville GA. Large play areas for different size dogs. Another longer area for just running. It is usually very sunny and does not tend to get very muddy when it rains. My dog enjoys going there a lot.
