Nice place to take your dog

Dogs are allowed on beach all year round but be aware that if you take your dog to beach in-season, STAY TO LEFT SIDE OF BEACH as you walk from parking lot up the walkway to beach. right side is people side during in-season timeframes.

    Not good for POC

Received passive aggression from a beach goer about our pup about barking even though other dogs were around barking. Most likely was because I’m Asian because everyone was staring at our family and judging us so we left

    Nice time at the beach

Our Airedale ran and played in the water and had some great on-leash time here. There were lots of other dogs around but all were well behaved.

    Be alert

the signs say no dogs allowed during on season but there were nothing but families with dogs! even dogs off leash. it wasn’t crowded but it was a lovely beach park. for there to be so many dogs, it was really clean and lots of open space .

    Great beach!

We took our dog to the beach for the first time and it was amazing. She had so much fun. There was lots of families with dogs, but everyone respected each others space. We will definitely visit again.

    Perfect Afternoon

So glad we could get a parking space at Fenwick St Pk! lots of friendly dogs with their owners, as well as families, couples, etc. Glad that most folks kept their dogs leashed.

    Good, not great, dog beach

    Pros:
Easy to access from State Beach parking lot
All dogs present seemed to be well socialized
Not as crowded as the “humans-only” side
No poop or pee to be seen, decently clean
    Cons
Being family friendly, lots of kids running around, not being mindful of dogs that maybe anxious or triggered by all the running and chaos
If you’re not able to access the beach from the north side of parking lot, the orange flag markers are difficult to see
If you’re traveling alone with your dog, it’s difficult to replenish water at the bathhouse since no dogs allowed.

Overall, the beach is a friendly welcoming place for pups. Everyone seemed chill and respectful. We’ll be back.

    Great Beach!

This is an excellent beach to bring your pet. Everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and there were lots of dogs. I will mention that there is a large dune that you have to get up and over. Something to think about if you bring a lot of items with you. Overall fantastic. I would definitely come here again.

    friendly and clean

This was our first time to take our Shitzu away and to a beach. So we were afraid that a dog beach won’t be as clean. But we found the beach to be better than the regular beach. It wasn’t crowded, mostly families with dogs and everyone was nice and friendly. We will defiantly come again. After you park, use the left side entrance as it is where the families with pets start.

great beach for dogs and families

My husband and I brought our 7 month old puppy, Mowgli to Ocean City for the Memorial Day weekend.. we were initially very disappointed that we weren’t allowed to bring Dogs to most beaches / boardwalks due to the time of the year. To our surprise we found this beautiful beach full of very friendly families and amazing dogs!! This was Mowglis first time on the beach and boy he had a great time!! Thank you to BringFido and the people who left reviews so we could find this gem!

    Very nice beach

This is a great beach. There is a $10 admission fee for the park, which I think helps keep the crowds down. Lots of friendly dog owners and it's fun to watch the surf-fishers. My only complaints is the climb over the dune from the parking lot to the beach. It's challenging if it's just you and your dog, but if you are in a group with others to help carry all your beach gear, it wouldn't be so bad.

    Happy at the beach

My day at the dog beach was wonderful. The beach was clean and the people respectful. The other dag owners were friendly and everyone seemed to follow the dog rules. Overall, everyone appeared happier with their dogs with them. My dog loved it.

    Dog Friendly Beach

We had a wonderful time bringing our 4-month old Beagle puppy to the state park beach. The entirety of the beach is open to dogs only in the off-season, but there is a big section of beach that is open to dogs at the north end of the park year round. There is access to parking and the bath house for the humans. We met lots of friendly dogs and the owners were all very responsible and friendly as well. It will be a regular vacation spot for us from now on!
