    Favorite Park

Ive had nothing but good experiences here. Never had a problem with aggressive dogs or neglectful owners and everyone has always been cautious and understanding not to pet mine who is still a bit fearful of people (rescue). It does get muddy but they are dogs thats what they do, its fully fenced and secure. And if there are no dogs (which is pretty rare) there are trails you can walk on with your dog or just go to the nature part of the dog park and they are very fun to walk around!

    Muddy & Not Fully Fenced

This would be a fantastic area to play catch with bigger dogs under voice control (labs and retrievers, we're looking at you ) -- theres lots of room to run and play in very natural surroundings.

We were traveling through the area and needed a place for our sheltie puppy to blow off some steam from being in the car all day and noticed an off leash dog park a little off the highway. We were looking forward to some off leash action, and were super disappointed when we got there.

Unfortunately, we had to keep him on leash and just walked around the picnic area. The dog area was no where near secure enough for dogs who aren't under complete voice control. And was far too muddy for our smaller/midsized dogs.

    Never again..

The dog park is not well kept and is not totally fenced in. I brought my three dogs and they all escaped out of the dog park because of the lack of fencing. The lake looked disgusting too.

    Good stop

We just moved here and this off leash dog park was great for my pup! There was tall grass that was unkept for my pup to jump through and hide. She loved being able to swim in the water. The water is dirty but she loved cooling down. There were lots of trees to provide shading and benches for sitting. They provided poop bags in case you run out. Loved how big the park was and how much space she has to roam about. We will definitely be back.

    my poor pup

This place is not well kept. The lake is disgusting and my dog was very ill after visiting this place. There was blue fertilizer looking stuff in the water and when I talked to someone about it, the guy was a total jerk about it and acted as if I was making this up. I am a transplant from Florida and have had dogs my entire life, so I know when the water isn't safe. My poor dog was vomiting blood and had bloody diarrhea. It was NOT worth this. If you want your dog to go swimming, take them to Lake Zorinsky, where the water is clean.

    Walnut Creek Dog Park

All weather area, with small lake for dog swimming. Most users follow waste removal policy of pick up and pack out, Circular trail, not secure fencing where the water line meets land. Leash walking on cement trial and hiking/horse trail. Regulars and new walkers, great place for dog fun.
