Bells Gap Rail Trail

The Bells Gap Rail Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Bellwood! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Bells Gap Rail Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. For more detailed trail information, please visit TrailLink.com. Bells Gap

It's a nice rail road trail. Well shaded with the trees make it nice and cool for the summer. The only down fall is its very buggy, but some bug spray fixed that. They keep it well maintained. It's not busy so it's nice for your dog on a retractable leash when you want to give him some space to run.

    Dog leash rule ignored

I would love, simply love to find a trail that is friendly to dogs on leashes. There's always that ONE or TWO people intent on ruining the day. Thank you for nothing
