    Convenient but has issues

I love this dog beach but I wouldn’t consider to be safe at night. In the daytime there are easily 100 + dogs here on a busy weekend. It’s like dog heaven. The issue with LB is that the water quality is not very clean and you may find garbage and debris.

Great dog beach, so easy to access

Rosie’s dog beach is a great place for you and your pup. In the past, I used to go to Huntington dog Beach. Fighting crowds and trying to find a parking space. With Rosie’s, there’s plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot next next to the beach. There are plenty of clean bathrooms and outdoor shower stations. When you are done at Rosie’s, check out the Paw Spa right down the street to bathe your pup before heading home.

    Great time

Came in from out of state and needed a place to bring my dogs for socializing and for a chance to run off some energy. My golden has anxiety so she stayed with me but my heeler took off running and frolicking with all the dogs of all sizes.
The beach was nice and clean and everyone was so friendly. Will definitely be back

    Fun times

Lots of dogs to play with big and small. Not too big of waves to worry about. Good food nearby to grab a bite after playing.

    Great beach

First time at the dog beach and it was great. Our pup is 4 months and loved it so much. Was his first time at the beach and it was great for him to have fun and play. There weren’t any aggressive dogs and everyone was really chill and nice.

    Great Dog Beach In SoCal!

Great dog beach with responsible owners—for the most part. Very clean compared to other dog beaches I’ve gone to.

    Fun in the sun!

Our 6 month medium goldendoodle had a blast. We took her three different times and found the morning was the best time to go for us because it wasn’t packed with dogs. Dog parents were very nice and controlled their dogs if they were getting rambunctious. This trip was the second time Loki’s been to a beach. We’ll be back again!

    Super fun

I took my dog there and there were so many dogs there for him to play with! He had so much fun and it’s not too crowded especially on week days! 10/10 would recommend coming here.

    Convenient and fun

Convenient parking (if you pay). Beach is right next to the parking, and not a long walk to the water. The restrooms are also close to the dog park. The people are all chill and the dogs were having a great time. The waves weren't too big thanks to the breaker walls.

    Worth A Visit

First time at a dog beach. My dogs did not want to go in the water, but it was fun watching other dogs diving in after toys and relaxing in the sand. Lots of dogs and people here. Got pretty crowded at the shoreline and some dogs were rowdy. The sand warmed up quick and my dogs were ready for shade after an hour.

    Great Dog Beach

We drove an hour from our home to get to this beautiful beach and it’s very much worth it. The dogs have miles of beach to run and play and you can either chose to walk up and down the beach or pop a squat with the family and have a day.

The beach has only 3 flaws but none are major. One is that the bathrooms along the boardwalk of the beach are very gross make sure you take care of you business before you bringing your dog. Second, the beach does have a lot of people on it especially during the summer and weekends so there was some trash along the beach. And last, you have to pay for parking and parking on a busy day is very hard so be prepared to look for a spot for bit but you should find one eventually.

This is a great off leash experience for a dog owner. Highly recommend!

    Fun large beach!

No issues with parking, but we did go in the evening during the week. Make sure you know the rules of the beach. Large area for dogs to play it. We really enjoyed it!

    How's the Water.

I took one of my dogs there once. This may be an anomaly, but the break in the low wall that allowed us to get on the beach, itself, stank so strongly of urine my dog would not go through, so we had to go down to the next one. The beach itself was nice enough, and the people and hogs were all very nice, but the Water was disgusting. My dog and I went in, no more than knee deep, but the waves do splash. Anyway the "seaweed" around my foot turned out to be toilet paper. If that wasn't enough both Missy and I had to get medical care for a bacterial infection which both the vet and my gastroenterologist said came from ingesting contaminated water. Again I hope this was an anomaly but I could never go there again.

    My Pup Loved It!

This was my pup’s first time at a beach and she loved it. The waves may be a bit much for a little dog so you have to watch them carefully! Lots of people there with very happy dogs around. Don’t bring your dog if they are afraid of water though! Our other dog wasn’t too excited. Otherwise, great location, lots of fun, and a great Christmas Day bonding with my pup. Loved it!

    Love Rosie’s Beach

    Great space for
Dogs to run. All the dogs that were there were friendly and welcoming. There are poop bags for those that don’t bring their own. I would have rated this place 5 bones but there isn’t any fresh water close by so being your own.

    So Much Fun

This beach exceeded my expectations. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of people sun bathing with their dogs, kids playing in the water and dogs running around the waves. The place had all types of dogs and majority of the people were really friendly.

    ADVICE:
Make sure to bring your own bags as I did not see any waste stations by the area. I read one of the reviews saying how small it was and I'm not sure what that person was talking about because the designated area for dogs is large enough to find your own spot to lay with your pup and catch some
    rays.

There's plenty of metered parking available but you can find free street parking in the residential streets. After a day at the beach you can take a short walk or drive to Belmont Shore and enjoy a nice meal and a drink at one of the patio bars with your furry kid.
