Kalamazoo River Valley Trail

The Kalamazoo River Valley Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Kalamazoo! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail.     22 miles of trail

    A beautiful and well maintained trail. Best part is from the parking lot on D avenue. Lots of blue birds can be seen pitched on or near birdhouse a that the Nature Center constructed.
    About the only drawback is that there is no loop so you have to go back the same way you came. Connects to the Kal Haven Trail.
