    Clean!!!

I started bringing my dog (Terrier Mix) when I got her on Mother's Day. It's a great place for her to run. Problem is a few owners feel they own the park. And will offer unsolicited advise and unwarranted! Lots of clean bowls always filled with clean drinking water, and people pick up after there dogs have gone. Would recommend this park anytime!

    Idiot Dog Owners

As a resident for 2 decades, I've tried the park several times, but my dog (70 pound lab) is terrified of some of the aggressive dogs (which I attribute to idiot owners). It's easy to see from the posture of the animal that they are not dog-friendly. But owners that sit by and wait for the inevitable dog fight make me sick. Too bad there isn't an animal control officer standing by.

I take my dog walking at Tephford now and all of the dog owners there have had the same experience with the Southgate park.

Too bad - you can't fix stupid.

    UNEDUCATED DOG OWNERS

I OWNED A BUSINESS AND LIVED IN TAMARAC AND WHEN MY WIFE AND I WALKED UP TO THE GATE AND SAW NO PITT BULLS ALLOWED, I CLOSED MY SHOP AND MOVED TO CORAL SPRINGS.

    Great Park

So happy that this park excludes pit Bulls! The park is very well maintained and the dog owners are friendly. I feel safe letting my dog enjoy the park without worrying about aggressive dangerous dogs.

    Good park

A nice big park with a separate small dog and large dog section. Everyone is always friendly and I usually end up having a long conversation with someone there. There has been a few incidents with a guys large German Shepherd. I've seen the dog once but I've heard at least 6 people talk about how aggressive the dog is with other people's dogs.

Great to find place for pooch

Great place for a out of town pooch to run with other dogs. Especially liked the exclusion of pitbulls! Why I prefer it over the one in Oakland Park.

    Not bully breed friendly

place does not allow "pitbull type" dogs unless registered with the city for $50 and have a $100,000 insurance policy on them. Do not support Tamarac or its' stores and parks because the city discriminates

    You can't ask for more

Not much shade...... other than that, the park is excellent. Ample space for the big dogs, and the small dogs. The thing to judge most in a dog park is the community. Very nice people with well groomed dogs go to this park. I've never seen any issues here. The park is very well maintained. There's even a walkway outside of the park you can take your family and your pet out for a stroll.

    Very Nice

This is a very nice dog park for the area. It has two seperate areas; one for large dogs and one for small dogs. It is a round grassy area surrounded by a side walk with benches under overhangs for seating. Most people DO clean up after their dogs and it seems most owners will say something if another owner doesn't pick up after their dog, which also help. There are doggy water fountains and even a little baby pool that can be filled up with water.
