Attacked by hundreds of seed ticks

I wasn't with a dog thankfully, but managed to somehow end up with thousands of extremely small ticks on both of my shoes that quickly worked their way up both my legs. Total nightmare. I spent the entire evening removing ticks from my body and now have a very itchy red rash around both my ankles. Avoid this place. The tick apocalypse awaits you...

INFESTED WITH TICKS - DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG!

DO NOT GO AND DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG! We went on a short walk through this park from the road to the Peconic (July 3, 2016) and in less than an hour the four people in our group got about 10 ticks each on us. We went here because it was one of the few parks in the area that allows dogs but our dog ended up covered in about 40 ticks that we spent the rest of the day removing. We've taken our dog hiking before and she's never had an issue with ticks. I would not recommend going here until they get the ticks under control and feel strongly that it's unsafe to bring your dog.

    Beware of Ticks

It was a nice shady hiking spot with a cute pond but I pulled atleast 10 ticks off of me and my dog. Granted June is tick season on Long Island I would avoid this spot until the ticks aren't so bad.
