Parque de los Venados Overview
Hours:
Cost: Free
This dog friendly park has beautiful gardens, large fountains and a famous Pancho Villa statue. Also, there is a planterium and an open air theater located there. Its a popular spot for dog parents to go for walks and for some dog obedience classes held there, and occasional pet expos. Of course, there's poop bag dispensers conveniently near the paths. www.oem.com.mx/elsoldemexico/notas/n833872.htm (picture and artlicle)

PARQUE XICOTENCATL
PALOMA DIAZ in WASHINGTON DC
Off leash park a few blocks away from Coyoacan's famed zócalo. The park is perfect, enclosed, vintage air, lovely plants, friendly doggie people, can't recommend it enough. As for Parque de los Venados, it is NOT enclosed, so off leash must be only for VERY obedient dogs, as there is a major thoroughfare (DANGEROUS) running next to it. Another favourite is Parque Mexico in the Condesa neighbourhood...
