    Fenced Off Sand Spot

I like the area itself a lot, the golf course looks nice, there are plenty of places to sit and have a picnic or family gathering. Lots of area to walk around on sidewalk. The place is very clean, and the bridge with locks to the beach is very fun. We enjoyed the beach and water more than the dog park, but fair warning, wear thick shoes if it’s low tide, because those rocks are ankle breakers for sure on the beach. The off leash dog area has chain link fence all the way around and has tennis balls supplied by a club for your pup to enjoy. There is a water spigot inside for the dogs. The area for off leash is not very big in my opinion, and didn’t have anything exciting to it because it’s just sand, no grass anywhere, and no additional amenities like agility equiptment or interactive features. It was nice because nobody else was there when we went so we enjoyed running in the sand for 5 minutes before we decided to walk over to the water and play. Gave it 3 Stars instead of 2 because the beach was the best part, the park was just small and not very exciting. But I will say I’m still thankful for somewhere to go that’s well kept and clean, and thankful that it’s still an option for people to get out and be with their dog.

    Water View Park

This park is mostly sand with water, poop bags, and a fair amount of space for dogs. I was impressed that they updated the park signs with recommendations for COVID-19 (no one was enforcing it on a rainy November Saturday).

More than a Small Off-Leash Area

We go here to make use of the 3.5 mile pet friendly jogging track. There are poop bag stations that are always stocked. They also have two public restrooms with water fountains for dogs. The trail is lighted for your safety, and there is free parking just outside the trail or adjacent to the mall fenced in off leash area. There is a nice green patch area for a picnic. Plenty of scenic views of the Puget Sound.

    New Park

I love this park but some dog owners bring in dogs that do not belong (mean dogs). Be careful and watch before you bring a small or new dog in.
I would like to see the park grow some grass. When my dog plays with the ball her mouth gets full of sand. Nasty!

    chambers Bay off leash beach

The beach for dogs is awsome. We have a lab that loves the water! Just be aware of other dogs that might be agressive & are not being supervised by their ownners. My daughters dog was attacked by a pitbull a couple weeks ago thankfully not killed & of course she can not get the guy to pay the Vet bill

5 Starts for the beach area, 3 for the fenced in area

There are two separate areas for dogs at this park. The "dog park" proper is a small, fenced area near the larger grassy park on the property. It doesn't have shade or attractions other than being an area to play. It is dirt/gravel, and I didn't see any grass.

The beach is separate from the dog park, on the other side of the railroad tracks. It isn't clear whether off-leash is permitted, but there were a good number of folks playing with their dogs in the water and we joined it. It is best for swimmers as there isn't a ton of beach space to run on. Our golden had a great time and the waves weren't too big.

5 stars for the beach access, 3 for the park.

    STUDENT

Please make the Seal Pup Notification much larger, today me and three other ppl came across a pup and did not know what to do because we thought it was injured until I realized that there was no blood and in fact it was just an umbilical cord. Others stated to gather and phone calls were made. Please help everyone to know that they need to be left alone. PLEASE MAKE THE NOTIFICATION BIGGER.

    Not worth the trip

The fenced part of the park is too small and more bare earth than grass. On nice days there are too many dogs and too little space.

You call this a dog park???

I can't believe people are giving this place good reviews! The off-leash area is a postage-stamp sized patch of dirt. There's barely even enough room to chuck a ball! Granted, the surrounding walk and views of the Chambers Bay Golf Club, and the trail are nice, but that's not part of the off-leash dog park, which, I think is what we are supposed to be reviewing. It's a HUGE dissapointment!

The area away from the beach is not fun.

this is a half review as I haven't been to the beach park yet. The other off-leash area by the trail is too small and is a sand pit. I went there in the summer and it was a big, dusty, baking pit of sand. Neither my dog or I enjoyed it. However, the beach sounds nice!

    Great Place

I LOVE this park! It is very close to the water and the train, the volunteers bring water to the fenced in part of the park so doggies stay hydrated, and there are clean poobags located in several places throughout the park. My dog loves to go to Chambers Bay off leash park. The only reason I gave this place 4 bones is because I'd like to see a fenced in area for small dogs. Some of the bigger dogs get to ruff with the smaller ones which scare both of us.
Most people are really good about cleaning up the poo too which makes it a more pleasant place for all.
