The trail is open yearly from May to November and meanders through over 125 giant sequoias in the Long Meadow Grove. The estimated age of the trees here are estimated between 500 and 1,500 years old. From Kernville, take State Mountain Road 99 north to Johnsondale. Go west on 50 to the Western Divide Highway turnoff. Go 2 miles to the Redwood Meadow Campground.
