Kuliouou Ridge Trail Kuliouou Ridge Trail is a popular Hawaiian hike near Honolulu that winds through the tall forest of pine trees; a totally different vibe to most hikes on the island. You'll feel like you're in the wilds of Canada, rather than the island of Hawaii. There are a number of overlooks along the way, including one of Kuliouou Valley. This dog-friendly hike is 5 miles in total and will take around 5 hours if you walk leisurely. See Details
Pet Friendly 'Aiea Loop Trail
'Aiea Loop Trail 'Aiea Loop Trail is a popular dog-friendly hike in Keaīwa Heiau State Recreation Area. The smell of eucalyptus trees will lead you to this 4.8-mile loop that follows the ridge along the west side of Halawa Valley. Fido is welcome to join you as a hiking buddy, but dogs must be kept on a leash. See Details
Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail is a pet-friendly attraction in Honolulu, HI. The trail offers outstanding views of O‘ahu’s southeastern coastline, including Koko Head and Koko Crater. The lighthouse itself was built in 1909 and stands stunningly against the deep blue sea below. Dogs must be leashed, and all mess should be cleaned up after them. See Details
Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline Leash Fido up for a hike along the gorgeous Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline in Honolulu, HI. Hauʻula Loop Trail Hauʻula Loop Trail in Laie, HI is dog friendly. Bring Fido with you while you hike the uphill 2.6-mile pathway that goes through lush forest and features ocean and waterfall views. It's generally considered a moderately difficult hike that'll take under two hours to complete. There's no parking, so you'll have to park at the beach park and walk down the street to the trailhead. Manoa Falls Trail Manoa Falls Trail is a pet-friendly hike near Honolulu, Hawaii. This loop trail is around 1.6 miles of muddy pathways that bring you to a 150-foot waterfall of the same name. Swimming in the pool beneath the falls is discouraged as the standing water can sometimes carry a virus. Off-leash hunting dogs may be in the area, so visiting dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. See Details
Ke Ala Loa O Maui/Piilani Trail Ke Ala Loa O Maui/Piilani Trail is a coastal hiking trail located inside Waiʻānapanapa State Park in Hana, HI. This 2.5-mile loop trail is actually a combination of three trails in total and weaves through a wooded area, alongside a brook and river. Kawainui Marsh Trail Kawainui Marsh Trail is a 2.9-mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii that is good for all skill levels. This pet-friendly trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Kapa‘ele‘ele Trail Enjoy a gorgeous hike with your pooch on the Kapa'ele'ele Trail in the Ahupua'a O Kahana State Park. This 1.2-mile loop trail provides breathtaking views of the Kahana Bay and Huilua Fishpond while taking you past historic cultural sites in Hauula, HI. Your dog must be on a leash six-feet long or less. While much of the trail is canopied by trees, heat and humidity are a concern. Bring plenty of water for yourself and your pup. See Details
Ke Ala Hele Makalae The Ke Ala Hele Makalae is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Kapaa! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Ke Ala Hele Makalae. Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park is pet-friendly. Bring your leashed pooch to this park for a wander on the winding trails. Leashed dogs are welcome, as long as they are cleaned up after. Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 10:00pm and Saturday to Sunday from 6:30am to 7:00pm. See Details

Composed of 110 acres with 85 acres of the park developed and is the largest park in the County of Maui parks system, this park is located in Central Maui and is adjacent to the world renowned Maui Arts and Cultural Center. The pet-friendly trail begins on the Crater side of the highway, across from Halona Blowhole, and leads to a stunning natural rock formation at the top. This is a highly sensitive ecological area that is important to endangered birds, so dogs must not disturb the wildlife by barking or straying off the trail.
