Description
Freeze Dont Shoot (FDS) is about ending law enforcement officer involved shootings of family pets in America. FDS supports training for law enforcement in identifying dog behaviors and non-lethal methods of handling dog encounters. A hands on training course with standardized curriculum has proven to work in many areas. FDS further seeks for full and proper investigations on any and all shootings, and protecting the rights of families involved.
We will be coming together at every state's capitol October 25th to speak out against the epidemic of family pets shot unnecessarily, and to bring awareness to the dire need for addressing prevention within our homes, by lawmakers, and within the law enforcement and animal control communities. Statistics show a dog is shot by law enforcement every 98 minutes. We can no longer afford to remain silent, for silence is acceptance, and what we ALLOW is what will CONTINUE. Your voice is needed. The time is NOW.
