Animal Zone International’s Fall Benefit

Animal Zone International (AZI), Filmmaker Richard Ledes and Dr. Paola Mieli invites you to The Argos Fall Benefit at Thalassa Restaurant (179 Franklin Street) on Wednesday, November 12th from 6pm – 8pm. This cocktail reception and silent auction will raise money to help save animals and the environment. Benefit Committee members include Kick Kennedy, Cornelia Guest, Christine Schott Ledes, George Ledes, Lorenzo Borghese, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Kate Falchi and Lisa Anastos. Founded in 2007, AZI is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the animals and the environment. It has begun work on the island of Amorgos, working with the community to develop a model for Greek animal welfare. AZI has established the island’s first veterinary clinic providing free or low-cost medical care and spay/neuter surgeries, and is focused on educating the island’s population on the humane treatment of animals.
