Diabetes Alert Dog (DAD) Workshop

Super Sniffer™ Diabetes & Medical Alert Dog Workshop January 8, 2015 @ 8:30 am - January 11, 2015 @ 5:00 pm This workshop, hosted by the Blue Ridge Medical Detection Dogs Project (BRMDD), is a non-profit & registered 501©3. This workshop is set up to help people training their own alert dogs to build a solid foundation of scent and obedience work that leads to a long and trusting working relationship. Each and every day we will be working with the dogs on scent training, obedience exercises, including all the tests for the AKC Canine Good Citizen and all the elements of the Public Access test. For professional trainers attending you will see the Super Sniffer™ methodology in action and will be able to see the progression Debby follows to get reliable results with all types of dogs and handler skill levels. And trainers will have the opportunity to hear & see a different perspective, one of a Type 1 Diabetic & how together we can change peoples lives. Your registration fee includes all refreshments, lunch, snacks provided throughout the day, a copy of Debby’s book and DVD and other materials, plus a bonus surprise to make the journey of training your own service dog a success.
