Description
The Pocahontas State Park hike will be a 2.5 mile hike along the Forest Exploration Trail. A guide will revisit the history of the park and navigate hikers along the special features of the trail, like Split Rock and a 19th Century grave stone. This hike is not suitable for children under 5 without a child backpack/carrier. The trail surface will be dirt and gravel, with exposed tree roots in some areas. Friendly dogs are welcome on a leash. Complimentary hot apple cider will be provided to hikers.
