Description

Location: Andover, NJ Date: Wednesday, April 15th, 2015 Time: 7-9pm Cost: $50.00 Does your dog stress at the vets office? Do you dread taking your dog to the vet? Would you like to learn a better way of handling your pet at the Vets? As a trainer for over 20 years, I work with many breeds in a variety of venues from fear stimulus, reactivity issues, anxiety issues, training problems, and problem solving. I was stunned to see the problems that come up while owners take their dog to the vets. Some Examples: Owners who could not complete a form because their dog was pulling their owner off the chair. Dogs barking constantly at anything that passed by. Dog showing aggression to the vet or their staff. Dogs showing high anxiety levels. Owners at a loss on how to control them, work with them, or help them cope efficiently. Overall, just a lacking of proper etiquette For anyone who has a fear of taking their dog to the vet's office, please attend this seminar. This seminar will address how to teach your dog to cope at the vet’s office. It will provide you with information on how to desensitize your dog to the stress and discussion will include how to handle your dog from the time you enter the building, including stepping up to the front desk, weighing your dog on the scale, proper handling during the exam, properly conveying information to the vet and/ or their technicians, handling the dog after the visit while finalizing paperwork and payment. It will illustrate when and how to help handle your dog for the vet and will give you direction in proper etiquette in the waiting room. Please email us at info@puppy-wuppy.com to reserve your spot for this seminar. Lori Minardi, owner of Puppy-Wuppy Dog Training has been training dogs in all levels of competition earning over 55 awards in Agility, Obedience, Rally, Tracking, and Schutzhund. She is an Evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program, Member of the United Schutzhund Club of America, Pine Barrens Schutzhund Club, International Association of Canine Professions, Honorary Member of Unites States Police Canine Association, and competitor of NADAC agility.
