Calling all hounds -- we're hosting a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt in Jenkintown's beautiful ourdoor Town Square, packed with activities and events, including "Strut Your Mutt" - a Dog Fashion Show with prizes for best dressed! Bring yourself and your best friends and join the fun - if you're a dog walker or pet sitter, come by and meet and greet local pet owners! Bring the family, there will be children's activities, games, crafts hosted by local art galleries and toy stores! All proceeds will benefit the Pooch Kaboose Dog Rescue group: a non-profit, no-kill rescue organization with a moral responsibility to protect the lives of abandoned, mistreated and or homeless dogs. As a resource to the community, we will find dogs loving, responsible matches that will provide permanent homes for our dogs. Through our adoption process we will aid the prospective adopter with information regarding the cost and responsibility of bringing a dog into their lives and homes. We will assist dogs in distress without regard to breed, age or ease of placement. The dogs we rescue will receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, as well as spay/neuter services. Our rescue is committed to the welfare of our dogs beyond the adoption process. Ultimately we strive to work with area shelters, humane organizations and other rescues to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in our venture to create a better environment for homeless dogs.
