Free: Family & Dog friendly event at Texas State Capitol Steps, facing grassy area Second: Freeze Don't Shoot (our Pets) Austin Texas rally / march... *note: this event is occurring in Every State on this date, check your States FB group page for more info... Many of our members have been affected by, know a victim or are just shocked by these behaviors being allowed by our police departments. Please do join us to help: bring awareness to the Public and Implement Canine Training programs - with set Policies, Punishments and Procedures ( A gun should NOT be the first action taken!) We need to make sure that "LEO'S" have other options than Lethal Shootings when dealing with our Pets.. If a gun is *Eventually used, no more than one shot should be authorized, and if the animal needs medical attention, it should be allowed Immediately, with no Delays!!! Lapel or Dash Cameras must be on for any animal interactions and the video available online immediately! (Police are here to protect and serve "us" paid for with OUR Tax Dollars) ANY actions they take should be Visible and Reviewable by US.... A Police report needs to be made available within 14 days and a Mandatory necropsy done if a shooting does occur that results in a death. Establish a "Jury pool" pulled citizen council to assess / judge each incident. Lastly to contact our State Officials in order to Change the Law regarding our Furry Family Members! They are NOT just "PROPERTY" they have FEELINGS AND SHOULD HAVE RIGHTS. Please do consider joining our group to make sure that this does not happen again! We support bill HB593, but feel that it needs accountability = proof that the training is working...
