Lace up those sneakers, gather your friends, and put the pup on a leash! New, fun activities this year....assistance dog demonstrations! K9 police!
Willamette Humane Society's 5K fun run and walk is coming to Riverfront Park in Salem, OR Sunday, June 14. There's also a 1K walk.
Registration costs $30/person before June 7 and includes a cotton WillaMutt Strut t-shirt. You can upgrade to a Dri Fit shirt for just $15 (registration required). Dogs walk for free. After June 7 registration is $35/person. Kids 12 and under are always $15.
The strut is a Willamette Humane Society fundraiser. Please bug all your friends for pledges! $10, $20, $100. It all goes to a good cause.
Check-in starts at 8 a.m. near the carousel. T-shirts, walk numbers and goody bags will be handed out at the park the day-of. You can avoid the line and pick up your gear at The Dog Bark, 1290 Hoyt St., from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 11th.
