27th Annual PetWalk

The Providence Animal Rescue League’s annual PetWalk returns for its 27th year on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Roger Williams Park, Temple of Music (1000 Elmwood Avenue Providence, RI). Each year, hundreds of Rhode Islanders and their pets come together for PARL’s signature event to show their support for homeless animals in need. There will be family fun activities including pet games, activities for kids, and fabulous prizes! Attendees will also find local vendors and animal education offerings in Mutt’s Marketplace. Dress up your pooch for our canine costume contest, this year’s theme is “Most Rhode Island.” Proceeds from the PetWalk will support PARL’s many animal welfare programs including adoption and sheltering services for thousands of animals per year, community outreach, spay/neuter assistance for low-income families, and its free pet food clinic which is available to community pet owners struggling to care for their pets. The championship title of “The Top Dogs” will go to the Pack (which consists of two or more participants) that raises the most funds by the day of the event. The winning Pack will hold the title for a full year, and will have the chance to defend their title the following year! To register as an individual or Pack, visit www.parl.kintera.org/petwalk.
