7th Annual Mississippi Week for the Animals

6th Annual Mississippi Week for the Animals kicks off on Saturday, November 28, 2015. The week will conclude Sunday, December 6, 2015. Throughout the week, shelters, rescue groups, and humane organizations across the state will be hosting wonderful animal-related special events in different locations. Educators, students and caring citizens across Mississippi will be joining in to celebrate and help animals. Events will include adoption events, spay/neuter low cost events, shelter days, programs in libraries, Santa pet pics,and therapy dogs visiting hospitals and living assisted homes. Also to be included are a salute to our military and working K-9's, animal appreciation events, special educational programs, nature activities and fun-filled days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the amazing animals! Become Involved! Events are still being planned now, and we urge animal lovers everywhere in Mississippi to participate! See the Calendar of Events for exciting events which will be happening in differnt locations across the state. Please note we will be adding activities right through the week to celebrate Mississippi's amazing animals.
