Voted "Best in Show of the Year" in 2014 by Purina Pro Plan and Dogs in Review magazine, the Houston World Series of Dog Shows is America's premier canine extravaganza. Celebrating its 39th year with more than 12,000 entries and 40,000 visitors and participants, it is one of the largest events of its kind.
Regional Dog and Kennel Clubs host daily All-Breed Shows with Individual Breed Judging, Group and Best in Show Judging. Varying schedules include opportunities to Meet the Breeds, view BHA-Licensed Barn Hunt Trials, Agility and Flyball Competitions as well as Frisbee, Canine Musical Freestyle and Obedience displays. The weekend includes Breed Grooming and Creative Grooming Contests. Visitors can shop over 230 vendors at the McScotty Market and check out the Dr. Mari Jon Filla Student Art Exhibit on display throughout the show.
