Description
Join our 3rd annual charity race to benefit the Colorado Fund for Muscular Dystrophy on Saturday, August 13, 2016. This will be a chip timed race provided by Commonwealth Timing. There will be a 1 Mile Kids Fun Run before the start of the 5K. Each Fun Run participants will receive a participation medal. This is a pet and family friendly event! Proceeds from the race will go directly to CFMD to fulfill its mission to improve the quality of life for persons living with muscular dystrophy in Virginia. Each year, CFMD sponsors children with MD to attend a special camp in Wakefield, VA. CFMD also provides grants to individuals to help pay for services, modifications, and equipment. This year, CFMD granted a man with Friedreich’s Ataxia $1,000 towards the co-payment for his new wheelchair.
