Two Events in One
Guinness World Record: 250+ people rocking simultaneously for at least 5 minutes!
Rockathon is a pledge-based event - Individuals or teams set a goal of the number of hours they will rock. Sponsors pledge a fixed amount for each hour rocked.
Join in the fun and rock a Guiness world record while raising money for your team/organization and the Humane Society of Midland County.
Teams/participants will commit to rocking - yes in a ROCKING CHAIR - a certain number of hours and ask people to support them by pledging a $ amount for each hour rocked. No pledge amount is too small or too large. The day will kick off with participants setting a Guiness world record, by having a minimum of 250 rocking simultaneously for 5 minutes.
Everyone is asked to bring their own rocker (BYOR!); however, there will be a limited number of chairs to rent and/or buy.
Sign up soon as there is a maximum of 500 participants.
