Transporting Pets in the Cargo Hold

As the BringFido.com mascot, Rocco has traveled all over the US with me, but he hasn't yet traveled across the pond. Jason and I are thinking of bringing him to Europe with us for a few months, while we review a number of hotels that were recently added to the site. Entering he EU seems relatively easy under the new pet passport regulations, but I'm nervous about transporting Rocco in the cargo hold for such a long distance. Does anyone know of an air carrier that will transport dogs from US to Europe in the aircraft cabin? Or have to had positive experiences transporting your pet to Europe in the cargo hold? I would love to hear your experiences with traveling internationally.

Flight to Managua from Orlando, Fl

I brought my 2 mini dachshunds to Nicaragua with me on Continental Airlines. My smaller female came in the cabin with me, my male flew in cargo. They both did just fine, my male was probably more comfortable than we were. Continental is great!

Dog in Cargo Hold

I appreciate you relating your experience. We are thinking about bringing our Lab to Costa Rica for a 3 month stay in a rental. Doesn't seem to be any Canadian carriers that will accommodate him even in their cargo hold, except for Air Canada. What do you recommend for Calgary to US and then into Central America?
Did you have your dog sedated at all?
What month did you travel? And were you worried about the temp in the cargo hold?
Thanks.

Flying in-cabin to/from Europe

Hi,

I brought my chihuahua/ terrier mix in the cabin with me from Amsterdam to Chicago this winter. The two main options for traveling with her in the cabin were United or KLM. When researching this, I did find out that no dogs are allowed in the cabin when going through London. I flew United, and found all the airline personnel extremely helpful with the dog. I bought the Sherpa carrier bag from United, and my dog seemed pretty comfortable in it- she slept most of the flight, and didn't make a sound. I didn't give her anything, but tried to make sure she got a lot of exercise before the flights. In the Amsterdam airport, she was allowed to be out of the carrier until we got onto the plane, which helped. Going through customs was easy on both sides with her European Pet Passport.

Travelling with a dog across the Atlantic

We have travelled with our bichon dog twice now to Tampa, Florida - she has to travel in the cargo hold and we find Lufthansa very good and very reasonably priced, but there are no direct flights between Barcelona and Tampa so we have to go via Frankfurt. Does anybody else have any other airlines that are direct?

Rocco NYC going to Croatia, Summer '09

Wow! your Rocco is the Mascot, great name!!

I am flying to Croatia with my Rocco who is a 2 year old black lab mix. I've reseached plenty as there are no direct flights to Zagreb, Croatia.

Air France, $150. in the hold one way unfortunately the connecting aircraft too small. Representative was very nice, helpful and mentioned a pet park @ CDG where u must meet your pup and play.

KLM/NW $150. in the hold connecting aircraft Croatian Airlines also in the hold not cargo. Very happy, the representative was very reassuring and there's a VET Hospital in the Amsterdam Airport, where Rocco will be examined by a Vet & crate will be clean.

Luftansa & Swiss Air....much more expensive and snobby:( Austrian Airlines too. Did not make me feel comfortable AT ALL!! Beyond Rude.

Of course Rocco has to be under 70lb including the kennel/crate,if not the cost sky rockets to $500. plus one way. He is on a "speedo" diet:) Found a kennel that is only 15lb "bargin hound" Petsmart.com. Oh must have at least a two hour layover if you are connecting.

best to all!!

Moving to Philippines

We are in the process of planning our move to the Philippines with our 7 yr old cocker spaniel. She has never flown before and we found a direct flight out of SFO to Manila. Does anyone know if the cargo areas are temp controlled? It is a 12 hour flight and we are very concerned about her comfort level and safety. Hope someone can give us some good tips.

Moving to London with our puppy

Mu hgusband and I are relocating to London for a few years this fall. We have booked my flight as well as our pup's flight on Virgin Atlantic because they seem to take good care of pets and are the only airline so far to have their own section on internatioal pet travel included on their website. Although they are extremely expensive, if they get our pup there safely, I'm fine with the price. I am very worried about our pup flying in the cargo hold, even though Virgin Atlantic has a special team that takes care of them before and after the flight and the cargo hold is temperature controlled. I will let you all know how it goes after we make the trip. If anyone has any advice or has done this before I would love to hear stories, good or bad.

Traveling with my dog overseas

My beagle, Emma, has more airmiles than most people. We fly back and forth between Washington, DC and Dubrovnik Croatia several times per year. I have found United & Croatia airlines in particular to be very helpful and caring. I am a bit demanding and always request to know where Emma is at all times. When I get to the gate, I want to know if she will be kept out of the elements (cold/hot) until the last minute. I also want to know when she in onboard. I have heard several horror stories of pet being left behind much like a lost bag. Not my idea of fun -- for her or me. United is great. They are a bit pricey, I think she is considered medium size, and it is appprox $100 each way. They have me fill out several forms, feeding schedule, etc. Yes they feed and water your peth throughout the flight. A potty break is also provided depending on your animals overal temperament. Shs loving and friendly and is always greeted and treated well. The one think I like most about United/Croatia Airlines is one form is a simple 4 part perforated form. Name, address of destination, flight details, etc. Once the animal is on board the flight's purser will bring one piece of this form to you in your seat to let you know she has been received by the crew and is officially on board. Another part of the form is provided to you in your seat on your next flight, if you have a layover and change planes. They are great. I had mixed feelings with Lufthansa, who on the first occasion, was great with her. But on subsequent flights it was as though they didn't care. I wanted to know that she made it on the plane and they said I would find out when I arrived at my destination. I was not happy and demanded to be let off the plane, along with the dog and my bags. The flight was already running quite late so they quickly ran down to the cargo hold to make sure she was there. I hated that I had to be a jerk, but I just wanted confirmation that my dog was on the plane. Not a lot to ask in my opinion.

One last note. When switching planes in Frankfurt -- coming off of a United flight and getting on to my Croatia Airlines connection. We took a bus to the plane and walked up some stairs, so no jetway. I heard her crying so loudly -- it broke my heart. I asked the flight attendant is she was fine and she escorted me off the plane, under the aircraft and to the door of the cargo hold. She said I could sit with her until they needed me in my seat, about 15 mins. It was so nice. I love that these two airlines are so accommodating with pets. The dog probably gets better service than we do in economy on United, but they really seem to care!

So for the person who posted that they are bringing their pet to Croatia, come on over. No worries on getting into Croatia with the animal, its quite easy. You need a health certificate from your vet, dated no more than 7 days prior to your trip.

You also need to have your animal microchipped and have valid rabis vaccination. Thats it. Easy. When I arrived Emma came out through over-sized cargo, right next to the customs desk. When she was brought out probably 10 customs officials surrounded me. I had my paperwork out and ready and they said not to worry. They just loved dogs and wanted to see what kind it was. Apparently they were all surprised as they had never seen a red and white beagle before.

Safe travels to you and your pets!

A dog and a cat from the UK to the US

Good evening,
I was just told that it is going to cost $1,400 to bring my small dog (<15kg) and my cat (<5kg) to the US where I am moving to this summer, for my job. I paid $300 to bring them from the US to France 2 years ago, and I see people mentioning much lower prices than $1,400 in 2009 on this forum, so I am confused.
I was told that american companies do not fly pets in the middle of the summer, and that I will have to use Lufthansa (quote of $1400 for Manchester-Chicago via Frankfurt) or British Airways (was told that it would be even more expensive for Manchester-Chicago via London!).
Can anybody help?
Thank you in advance,
Sid

dog loose at miami international

hi.....i read a few posts.......i was sitting awaiting my flight to frankfurt then to zagreb.......they announced my name over the loud speaker.

when i got up there they told me 1 of my 3 dogs had gotten loose and was running down the main runway being chased by homeland security police, they asked me to get my stuff and come with them. they had chased her i am guessing well over 3/4 of a mile and had to stop flights from landing and had her cornered at the end of the runway against the fence......luckily for me it was missy my well trained and obedient blue heeler, when we got there she came instantly to me after 2 calls when she realized it was me...........what a freakout.

but to say the people at miami international were very nice to me during the enyire incident and the police all gave me thumbs up when she came right away. as i keep her for a few hours everyday in that same kennel i am only guessing that someone hit the cage releases since in 1.5 years she has never been loose from it again. they loaded her in the plane with me still there....the nasty part was the german woman who commented everyone said i got taken away by the police......when i said very loudly what had happened everyones attitude changed. but they had to hold up the plane taking off for us to get back. but it really never seemed like it was a problem with anyone at the lufthansa airline or the police.

the croatia customs guys were wonderful when we arrived in zagreb. so no problem taking the pets to croatia......i am getting ready to return right now and hope this is an easier trip.

Need to ship my dog from Israel to Canada

I was wondering if anyone could help make this clear cut.
While I was in Israel, I rescued a dog there. I needed to come back to Canada quickly and left my little man with someone whom I believed to be trustworthy.

Long story short, I need to bring him here to Canada and I was wondering if anyone had shipped a dog alone via cargo from Israel to Canada, and if so, if they might tell me exactly what I need to do to get him here safely, legally and as cheap as possible. I am far from being a rich person but this little dog is my whole life.

He is about 22-23 pounds.
Please!! Can someone help me!?! He needs me and I feel utterly helpless, it's just crushing me

Thank-you!

to jesse nebs

listen, you have one choice , you should have taken him on the flight home with you, it would have saved you a ton of money......but heres what you ned to do.
1- CHECK TO SEE WHAT YOU NEED TO SATISFY CANADIAN LAWS......RABIES SHOTS, HOW LONG BEFORE......VET CHECK AND IF HE NEEDS A MICRO-CHIP ALSO
2- YOU ONLY HAVE ONE OPTION, I AM SURE THERE ARE FLIGHTS NON-STOP FROM TEL-AVIV TO MONTREAL, SO CONTACT AIRLINES AND FIGURE OUT WHO DOES IT AND CONTACT THEIR AIR-CARGO FOR PRICES......YOUR DOG IS THE SAME SIZE AS MY 2 CATS AND IT WILL COST ME TO THE STATES ABOUT $350 USD, THEY CHARGE BY KENNEL VOLUME, SIZE OF THE KENNEL DIMENSIONS, PLUS A SMALL CHARGE FOR FUEL SURCHARGE.
3- YOU NEED AN IATA APPROVED KENNEL..dont buy a cheapo model its not worth it....PROBOBLY A GOOD ONE IS $100 USD IN YOUR DOGS SIZE.

no dude its not a cheap thing, you made a mistake not taking the dog with you when you went........now you have lots of things to accomplish and you are not there to handle them. plus alot of added expenses, but hope that helped out some

Costly agents

I am travelling to California for three months next Summer and am hoping to fly with my three dogs. I have had them microchipped, vacinated and all are in possession of their passports.

Most airlines insist on me going through an agent which rockets the price from €160 per dog to 1000s. Can anyone advise if they have travelled to Europe without the use of an agent and how this worked?

Many thanks

Going to Greece w/ my Chihuahua...

Alright, i've been doing some research and i've found quite a bit of handy info on this site.. but I still am a little confused on a few things:

First off, i'm going to Greece this summer for a couple months to visit my dad. I won't have to worry about my Chihuahua (will be 2 years old at the time) not having anywhere to go or whatnot, because we have our own house there, and another dog for her to play with, and well she's pretty much going to be fine WHILE we're in Greece. It's the travelling i'm worried about... there's no doubt about it, she's coming with me, and she's small enough (4 - 4.5lbs) to fit in cabin. I have a Bergan carrier, which is within guidelines for the size of the bag for in cabin.
I will do more research on which flight to go with (I love flying with Lufthansa, and despise KLM, BUT everyone says KLM is better with pets, so I care more about how my dog gets treated than how I do! LOL) but I'm still confused on which certficiates I need?

My dog is microchipped (yes, it's a 15-digit number, apparently which IS scannable in the European frequency), but I found this info about flying to Greece on a website:

"Greece, being part of the EU, will require: microchip rabies vacs at least 30 days old and less than 1 yr. APHIS 7001 international health cert issued within 10 days of travel and endorsed by usda. Also, EU form 998 English-Greek also endorsed by usda"

Where can I find these APHIS 7001 and form 998 English - Greek forms? And what's the 'usda' because apparently they have to endorse the forms? and one last question, because I travel through Germany to Greece, do I need to get the forms translated in German as well, or no?

On my way back, will Canadian Customs hassle me about having my dog or will I be fine?

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated, as this is my first time flying with her!

Pet Air Travel

Hi Melissa,

Continental's PetSafe program has the best reputation in the industry. The pets are in a special area of the cargo hold which is temperature controlled, etc. Definitely investigate this!

Rocco will be fine in his crate

Hi there Melissa, you shouldn't worry about Rocco being uncomfortable in his crate. The fact that he will travel in the cargo hold is a myth, especially if you're traveling oversees where larger aircraft are employed.

Most likely, he will travel in an area just below the passenger compartment that is fully climate controlled. As a matter of fact this area is only a stone-throw away from the area where the flight attendants rest during long oversee flights.

I've been down there on a few different occasions and believe that my dog was much more comfortable down there in his crate than I was in coach. I traveled extensively from the US to Europe with my dog and never had a problem.

Big Dog with Separation Anexiety

So we got a boxer mix who's in the Toronto area with friends while we are out in Strasbourg. Now we really want to bring our dog here but he suffers from anxiety disorder. He cannot be crated because he will chew and scratch at it until his teeth are bleeding and he has injured himself and we are against drugging him for an 8 hour flight plus whatever time it takes to process at the airports.

We have been trying to find a carrier (even a freighter or any air line) that will allow us to keep him with us in the cabin or in the room (that you get on a boat) but being close to 40lbs (in and or around) it is looking like it is impossible.

I need advice.

Flying my 2 dogs U.S to U.K

I was wondering if anyone could help me on a few things. I am originally from Manchester, England, but go to college in North Carolina, U.S.A. I have had my two dogs here in college for the 4 years I have been here, however I have recently been looking at moving back to England and bringing them with me.
The main problem is that Dooie is a 190lb Great Dane, and all the airlines I have spoke to don't allow a crate large enough to fit him, the largest being 48l,32w,35h. They are also charging $1800 for just him alone, if he were to fit in the crate. My other dog is a 70lb lab, so both together would be very expensive.

Does anyone know of any airline that allows larger crate sizes for reasonable rates? I have been looking at KLM cargo, and heared they were good, if anyone has had experience with them, please let me know prices and what you thought about them?

Re: Traveling with Great Dane

Hi,

Have you moved your dogs already? I would like to hear about your experience, as we have a Great Dane too and I am having trouble finding him a crate large enough now I read on your post that they don't even allow it on the plane?? What are you supposed to do then??

So, if you have found the answer, please, share!

Not Delta

Do not fly Delta with your pet if you can help it. We flew with our dog to Moscow and our dog was in cargo. She did not come off with the rest of the cargo and we had to pay hundreds in bribes (and five hours later) before the airport personnel would give her back to us. Delta did NOTHING. Stay clear of Delta!!!!!

USA to UK with Irish Wolfhounds

Hi We're moving to London from Los Angeles, with our 2 Irish Wolfhounds-140lbs & 114lbs. We've checked Virgin, BA, and Continental. Virgin and BA are quoting $7,000.00 and $9,000.00. Continental won't touch them because they're over 70lbs. Can anyone suggest a UK approved carrier that doesn't cost that amount?
4yrs ago we brought the 2 of them from Ireland (each in a Vari-800) for $99 each...that included everything. We're also taking our 2 cats-each 10lbs and quotes for them are $1000.00. Seems crazy prices have skyrocketed that much.

Lufthansa

Hello, I am a few years late from answering your initial question, but I would still like to say that Lufthansa is WONDERFUL with pets. In September of 2011, I traveled to Germany with our Cat in the cabin with us and our large Dog in Cargo. I was very nervous about our dog being in cargo, and did a lot of research before hand, but all went well. I can't say enough how wonderful the Lufthansa crew was with us. I fly back to the U.S. next week to bring our pets home, and while I am still nervous, I am grateful we are traveling Lufthansa. (I only wish my hubby was traveling with me...that's a lot of "baggage" to handle when you count in 5 months worth of suitcases, a cat in a carrier and a huge dog crate. LOL) A tip -- before you travel, check with your airline carrier to determine their specifications on crate/carrier dimensions for both cargo and cabin. While similar, each airline has their specific requirements.

Lufthansa to Croatia and Back Stop Over in Frankfurt

I brought back a beautiful German Shepherd dog I found half-dead in Croatia! Because I have two German Import Shepherds from Germany to begin with, I would only use Lufthansa or Swiss Air!
Lufthansa SPECIALIZES in transporting German Purebred dogs for breeders and Show people! I had a 4 hour stop over in Frankfurt Germany and in typical German manner, my dog was walked inside a dog area, given water by staff and played with! She was them placed in a huge Lufthansa cage for the rest of her journey to Chicago!
Once in Chicago, three Lufthansa supervisors walked with me while I picked her up at the gate! My dog Marina became somewhat of a celebrity! Everyone wanted to see her!
The only problem was, I became jealous when I saw how big her Lufthansa cage was! I would have traded places with her any day!

She also booked the flight with Korean airlines before she departed from Manila. They have a climate control cabin. We got the health certificate here in the US before he left. We put the dog in a big crate ( he was a big puppy), provided water ( you can buy this water container for hamster that you can attached to the crate from pet store). The puppy never taken into quarantine at all in Manila, was released right away with her suitcases. And did not have any accident considering they had a stopover in Korea.

My two dogs from London to US

Transporting Pets UK to US

Hi Jonathan,

I've also been worried about flying my dog via a commercial carrier - he's not a short-nosed dog, but is a rescue with separation anxiety.

I've been looking into charter flights with other pet owners, and so far have found 3 or 4 other people who are interested in travelling UK to US around Jan/Feb. With enough people, the cost isn't too crazy (my dog is ~35kg, so would need to be shipped as cargo, which adds up quickly.)

There are also a few charter companies who run pet flights - for example pettravelservices.com has a flight coming up in Jan (through Jet Hire Direct.)

Let me know if you might be interested!

Bringing Dog from UK to US

Just in case anyone else might be interested, I posted a while ago, trying to find flight options from the UK to the US with my dog that would avoid sending him via cargo.

I think I'll be joining a charter flight at the end of January. The cost will be apx $12k from London to New York. (This would allow for up to two people/two dogs.) You're also welcome to join if you don't have pets, though the price will be the same.

Cat Flying on South African Airways Cargo Hold (DC to Johannesburg)

Hello, our cat is flying (non-stop) with us from Washington DC to Johannesburg next week and I was wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and would share with me how their trip went. This is out cat's first plane trip so we are naturally a little nervous. The only option is for her to travel in the cargo hold, which is pressurized/temperature controlled. I would really appreciate it if someone could share with me their personal experience/advice on traveeling with a cat in the cargo hold, with travelling with a cat on SAA, or with travelling to Johannesburg with their pet cat. Thanks!

Amsterdam or Charles de Gaulle?

Im trying to find the most efficient route to get my 55 lb dog from SFO to SVO (Moscow) next month. It looks like my best choices are to fly through Amsterdam (KLM) or Charles de Gaulle (Air France).

Has anyone had a layover with a dog in either airport? How was your experience?

After reading some of the posts here, I will now research Lufthansa, since it sounds like they're pretty reliable with dogs.

My experience - There's no reason to pay ridiculous prices

I've traveled extensively with my dog (Malamute/Husky mix). I have to be honest, I'm shocked at the prices people are paying. I think people are not realizing the difference between "cargo" and baggage. I've never, ever paid more than $400. For example:

Houston to Europe on United: $1,700 in cargo
Houston to Europe on Delta: $200 as baggage

Many airlines let your pets be accepted as baggage - I've never, ever paid the outrageous fees people are listing above. Using cargo, the price will always be ridiculous. I've also had nothing but the best experience with Delta. They have an entire pet care department, they are used by zoos, pet facilities, and breeders worldwide. I'm not sure why people would choose to fly their pets via cargo rather than as baggage. The pets are kept in a segregated area that is the same temperature and pressure as the human cabins. I've never once had an issue.

As an addendum to the above post...

Air France charges 200 euros from USA to Europe for my large dog. They are also a wonderful airline for pets.

Why are people paying these outrageous prices above???

Best way to bring my 25lb dog from Toronto to UK

I need to find an airline or boat for my dog and I to travel to UK together. I am not comfortable with having fly in cargo.
Does anyone know of an airline or ship that I can travel with him? I am willing to pay for an extra seat if I have to

Transporting larger dogs from USA to South Africa

I am going overseas to South Africa for 6 months and really don't want to leave my 2 dogs behind.

I have larger dogs so they'd need to be put in cargo.
I have never flown before with pets NOR has either dog flown before. I am very uneasy about bringing them over in cargo on such a long flight, especially since I have been unable to find any direct ones for my time of travel. Along with that, my one pooch has anxiety/fear of loud noises and I'm worried health wise about this in cargo.

Has anyone ever flown from USA to South Africa with dogs?
What was your experience like?
What airline did you fly?

Also if anyone has information on charter flights from USA to SA, that would be helpful as well.

*I have strongly thought about keeping my dogs home for my first trip over to SA, but there is a possibility of moving to South Africa for a few years, so I am looking for these answers for future reference as well*

Thank You

Mom

We are looking to travel with our German Shepard back to the UK. After what I have found due to PETS Scheme, the dogs have to come in as cargo and are not allowed to be tagged as baggage anymore. We have budgeted $1000-$2000 for this as this is the fee to have a sitter come and watch him for the time we are gone. If it is more, he will get to stay home with his own pet sitter.

Shipping by cargo

I've been doing a lot of research to take my dog from Florida to Amsterdam. Everywhere I find the same: 700 series kennels (48x32x35) must be sent via cargo and while prices go by weight, they oscillate from $1500 to $2500 for a dog that is 95 lbs (45Kg).
The problem with cargo is that the animal must be given to the airline 4 hours prior to departure and if there is a connecting flight, there should also be 4 hours of layover. CRAZY!
I'm going to buy the smaller kennel to check if she fits there. A few runs around the block might also help :)
Good luck everyone!

KLM is great with animals - 3 pets and 3 successful trips back and forth

KLM is very good with pets - require travel approval carriers and updated papers (including having the pets each chipped). The fee is reasonable at 100 for a medium - large dog and 50 each for the cats. You may want to arrive a little earlier than the 2 hours before an international flight and I recommend reserving the flight for the pets when you reserve your flight - travel on the same one. We don't give the pets (our kids) any sedative and don't feed them ~4 hours before the leaving for the airport. When checking in and boarding the plane ask for an update on your pet (notification when they are also successfully boarded).

Frequent Flyer Dog

Hi,
I fly USA-Germany at least once a year with my 9-year-old Vizsla (XL kennel). We have flown Lufthansa from Germany to Portland and Air Berlin to Miami or New York (and vice versa) very often. Both airlines are great with dogs. They allow you to check in your dog at the baggage counter really last minute, to make the waiting time short for your dog. Once you on board, a flight attends comes and brings you a little slip of paper from the captain with a note, that your dog is on board. KLM does the same.
My dog has a European Vet Passport (blue) where all his vaccinations are listed and stamped. Never any problems with customs, since the Rabies shot is always up to date.
Flying within the US is much more complicated. United, with their policy of having to drop off the dog at the cargo service is such a mess. First, none of the employees at the check in counter knows where their own cargo area is, neither do the employees at arrival. When I arrive in the US or in Europe, flying Lufthansa or Air Berlin, my dog has usually been brought to the luggage pick up before my suitcases are there. I take a porter who brings me and my dog with kennel to the car rental place and off we go.
Not with United! A nightmare. Ever tried to find the SFO cargo at 10 pm to pick up your dog? United makes the flight time (and time in kennel) at least two hours longer than the European airlines, which handle, at least the ones I know, the dogs much better. Not to mention the cost. Air Berlin flies your dog two ways to Europe and back for about the same price as United charges one-way coast to coast.
And a new problem occurred with United: usually we have a water bottle (the one you buy in pet stores) fastened outside the kennel so my dog has water any time he wants. Now, United does not allow this anymore. We had to take the water bottle off, they filled ice cubes into his bowl. Who guarantees that those cubes will not fall out when we go up in the air and the plane has a strong slopping position?
Question: does anybody know an US airline that does the check in for a dog at the checking counter and brings the dog to the luggage area?

Transporting Dog as a Check Baggage

Hi, am travelling from UK to FRANKFURT.
Is anyone has an experience travelling with large breed dog as a checked baggage with LUFTHANSA AIRLINE?
Cause I have a problem, I use series 700 crate ( L122 X W81 x H89 CM).
When I tried to register the dog, they refused the dog. Lufthansa max. Pet Baggage is L125 x W75 x H85 CM. ONLY EXCEED 6 CM WIDTH and 4CM HEIGHT. Anyone has idea with this condition, cause my ticket has been issued and its not possible to cancel the flight otherwise I lose my money if they reject us. Thanks.

Hi, I need a help... My father has a 3 month old puppy dog, and they live in Ukraine. He wants to send Bella to us to USA because he can't take care of her but we do. Maybe some one can help me with that information how to ship Bella from Ukraine to America (I like to choose closer airport, so fly may be without any connection) If any body can give me information, will be very appreciated for help. Thank you

Young Puppy From EU to Canada

With all of the regulations changes in the EU regarding rabies vaccinations, I am worried that we might end up stuck at the airport in EU if we get denied boarding with our puppies.

The puppies will be 10 and 12 wks old. We have already confirmed that there isn't any problem bringing them into Canada without Rabies Vacc., as long as we get it done here afterwards. Our concern is whether or not they will let us leave Europe.

We can travel with the puppies to CDG, BRU, AMS or FRA, if necessary, but can anyone confirm that they have successfully traveled with a young puppy (without rabies vacc) from any of these airports SINCE the new rules? If so, please let me know if there is anything that I should expect to have ready, other than the puppies' health certificates?

I have been doing a lot of research and I haven' been able to find a reasonably priced airline or carrier that we can use. I have even checked with some different relocation companies but they just want way too much money. I need them here in a few weeks.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fly them over here in the summer time?
Thanks in Advance,

Turkish airlines lost my dog, they said that cage broke during transfer, it's been one year from today. We have sent numerous emails, complaints but nobody answered on any of them. Now one year later they have sent email, offering us 1600$ if we sign that we wont sue them... Bastards
