How do I bring my dog to the US from Colombia

I decided I'm going to my hometown on August the third and acome back on the 13th. My dog has been there for about a year without me and I've been paying for someone to take care of her. Now that I'm going I want to bring her back. However I don't know how to arrange the trip back with her. The trip has two stops: one in Dallas, another in Mexico. What do I do? What do I need? Is it too long of a trip?
