1. No Dogs over 40 lbs allowed
by Pam of Richmond,, VA
Tried to make reservations at the Westin Hotel in Hilton Head and they would not accept dogs over 40 lbs. Just a heads up for those parents of larger, lovable four-legged kids.

2. Buffett's weekend in South Carolina
by Rod of Spring Hill, FL
I got to travel to S. Carolina with my people because they found a nice resort (Westin) in Hilton Head that let dogs stay. I had a great time. They provided me with a "heavenly dog bed" of my very own. It took me a night to decide to sleep on it but when I found out how very comfortable it was I hardly ever got off of it. My people would have bought me one except the Westin was trying to charge $225 for it, which really is too much - even though it was made of Eyptian cotton. The resort people were very friendly to me and thought I was "cute". My adventure to S. Carolina ended way too quickly but it was heavenly! I would certainly "highly" recommend the Westin to other dogs who have people. Thanks for your wonderful website or my people would never have discovered the neat places that they can take me. I certainly will encourage them to take me on more doggy vacations. Sincerely yours - Buffett woof woof!!

3. No Big Dogs
by Terry of Dublin, GA
Westin corporate office said that Westin Hilton Head could make an exception and allow a sweet, gentle dog over 40 lbs. However, the hotel absolutely refused to accept a dog that weighs an ounce over 40 lbs. They also were not very friendly about it. I don't plan to ever stay at another Westin. There are much better hotels around. The Westin Hilton Head has also received alot of bad reviews on Trip Advisor.
