We stayed at the Morrison House in old town Alexandria, and it was great! Excellent staff and they accepted our dog which was a plus. When we went to our room there was a dog bed and bowls waiting for our pooch. Getting to DC was no problem at all. Eight blocks away (10 min walk) was the metro. There are tons of restaurants and shops right within walking distance. I would recommend this place to anyone with or without a pet!
