We really appreciated being able to take our two dogs with us to Florida for our Christmas vacation! The Holiday Inn Universal Studios has a large "dog walking" area to one side of the hotel.
For a fifty dollar ($50.00) non-refundable fee, our dogs were able to stay in the hotel with us. We took them to and from the dog walk area (and/or our vehicle) by leash in the guest elevators; they walked the halls with us. We were considerate of others who might be scared of our dogs, and always asked other hotel guests if it was ok with them before we got on an occupied elevator with two large dogs. 98% of the time, people were very accepting (the other 2% were skiddish, so we'd wait for the next elevator).
As for the accomodations, they were very comfortable - non-smoking floor - very comfortable bed - etc. There were only two minor negatives: 1) Our bathtub was in need of some minor repair (the water drained out when the tub should have held a level and the overflow cover didn't lineup quite right with the overflow pipe, so a screw was missing from the cover). 2) The street noise at night was a little loud, but nothing a small portable fan wouldn't drown out (we sleep with a fan noise at home normally, so the noise might not be as noticeable to others). That's it for negatives...
Back to the positives, it was really nice being at the entrance of Universal! We walked to and from the park. When we didn't stay for closing, we could watch the fireworks from the hotel. All in all, we would definitely stay there again! Thanks BringFido.com!
