The Benson was a great location for staying with a dog in Portland. It is close to a park (on leash only) to walk dogs. Our pooch was very welcome at the hotel by the staff & was given his own welcome basket of a great little travel bowl, squeeky toy, chew toy & container of poop bags upon arrival. We were not banished to a particular set of rooms for guests with dogs as has been the case in other hotels. Overall, the Benson was a great place to stay whether you brought your dog or not.
